This project might be on hold. I'm looking at a bike on Tuesday and also maybe an investment property soon.

But we'll see how it all works out.

That's why I bought it. No matter how much money I put into the 7, it will never be as fast as the BMW.

So I got a call from the body shop, the car was all ready for paint and they were putting the front suspension back on. The subframe was bent and about 5mm off center. I've already bought another one and it's on its way so it should be going to paint next week.

I'll stop by the shop today and take some pics.

Me too! I was actually surprised when they called me and said it was ready for paint.

So the good subframe will be here on Tuesday and then all should be good to go. It's moving up my time line to getting this back on the road.

Also, since I've sold my GSXR, that really freed up some funds to get this project moving. I'm getting stoked!

Got the subframe and Monday and gave it to the guys. Stopped by today and took a couple quick snaps. It's amazing you can't even tell that the car was cut in half!

So today, I decided to finish up my PLX water temp sensor install that I wanted to integrate into the main harness opposed to running a line all by itself to the module.

ok, this is what really disappoints me about the way they want you to run the line:

They expect you to run the line from the sensor straight to the module without a disconnect in between anywhere. ok, lets think about this. since I'm integrating the wire into my engine harness, this obviously poses a problem if I need to remove the engine harness. I have to take out the sensor. It's a coolant sensor. See where I'm going with this. Why wouldn't they think to provide a disconnect at the sensor?! Every other engine connector has a disconnect at the sensor so you can pull the harness! I'm just really disappointed that they couldn't provide me with the female molex connector to disconnect the sensor. It's like a 50c part.

This is the way I wanted to run it, as it SHOULD be ran anyway.

Ended up going to radio shack to get a 4 way molex connector. I also integrated the coolant level sensor into the same connector and ran the wires for the PLX through the main harness. I'm not quite happy with how the connector is zip tied for a mount, but it'll work for now until I find a better solution.

So I scrapped the molex connector garbage....I don't know why I even bothered and wasted the $5 it cost. oh well...so I ordered these off amazon, kit of 5. Def be using these when I need to supply power to the PLX sensor modules.

decided to finally get around to replacing the foam around the blower motor, evap and heater cores. Turned out pretty good, it'll do its job. I was cleaning all the parts and definitely had to take apart the evap core

Well, cleaned all the trash out and blew out the evap core. looks to be pretty clean. I used to be a refrigeration mech in a past life but I'm not worried that it won't cool after I cleaned it.

ok, so I was messing with the steering wheel today since I bought a 6 bolt hub adapter and this is how far I got:

Name: DSC03747.jpg
Views: 89

does the steering column just pull out from here? it's quite snug so I'm assuming I just give it some more incentive, I just want to be sure before I start smacking away.
