93 Build...Finally giving in to the obsession

I'd say the front harness is about 90% complete. I've already gone through 4 rolls of electrical tape
ABS harness
Starting/Charging harness
Fuse boxes
Still have a couple odds and ends to complete but pretty much only the cooling relays and some of the harness that's on the interior.
Right now the brackets are getting powder coated so it'll add a nice touch

Hopefully you used a good electrical tape. I re-taped a harness several years ago and used some autozone type cheap tape and it all ended up unraveling a year or so later. I ended up redoing it with a better tape and it held up okay. Looks nice and clean though.

coming along nicely!
I agree on the electrical tape comment...things just get so hot under the hoods of these cars that it wreaks havoc on electrical tape. I most recently redid my harness and used friction tape which should hold up to the heat a lot better and not get slimy and unravel like cheaper electrical tape.
At the very least maybe just go over the ends of the harnesses with the friction tape to hold where the electrical tape ends firmly as this is going to be the spot(s) that will come undone first. Just food for thought
Good luck!

Not yet. Mike said he'll have it done after about 4 days worth of work then off to paint. The trouble is getting those days when their insurance work takes priority.
I did stop by today though and took a couple pics that I'll upload later. They're almost done with the rocker panels and the pillars and half of the floor is welded back up.

So now my goal is to have the car back a just before Memorial Day so I can have the 4 days to slap everything together real quick (hopefully) and have it damn near done by the middle of June. Then off to Rotosports to get it tuned.
down time progress:
My steering column looked just as nasty as the harness bar so I decided to get rid of that garbage and paint it nice and pretty like everything else.
Got my 1300cc secondary injectors in so I slapped those in real quick. I'm having to get all of the brackets that sit above the engine powder coated again because the guy that I used before did some really bad work. the powder was flaking off before I even put the brackets on so I'm having the new guy do them again.
Excited about this new tool! gonna try my hand at some soda blasting

Good luck with media blasting. Unless you have a blast cabinet it's hard to keep the lines clear. I did a car about 10 years ago and could never get the blaster to work worth a damn, unless you have a good set up to dry the air then it's difficult to keep the media from getting damp from the condensation in the air lines and it tends to clog.
That little air compressor is going to be running over time trying to keep up also. Don't let my naysaying stop you from trying though. It was just my experience and I came to the conclusion it was more trouble that it was worth.

^ for soda it should be ok. if I have an issue with water I can always get a drier before the line.
I did try a little soda blasting with my wicked small 2 gal. compressor and it worked for the time the compressor was full and wasn't running.
Today and I'm going to pick up a bucket and jerry rig a media container to see how it works.

Good job on the resurrection of this car...
Got and me after on the same wavelength when it comes to some engine ideas...
2 1/2 weeks ago I did the same tap & plug on those 3 coolant nipples, it always bothered me seeing these great time attack race cars or show cars, they have a rubber cap and clamp on the nipples... Instead of doing the proper elimination of them...
I've used my 1/4, & 1/8 npt taps a few times in the past little bit... Even did the fuel pulsating delete the same way to...
Keep up the good work, looking forward to seeing this finished.
