Good News! Testing is complete.

The product is now officially released. It can be purchased at the following link.

http://www.banzai-racing.com/product...ss_adapter.htm

As this is a new product launch, we will be manufacturing these on an individual basis. Please allow approximately 7 days for fabrication.

No I sold it several years ago to a nice guy on the forum. I think his name was Guy. I don't know whatever happened.

So was one of the issues whether changing the MAP sensor would confuse the stock ECU and make erratic torque converter lockup etc?

No, there were no issues. It was verification testing, not troubleshooting

Low Impedance?

I am about to order, but I am not sure if my car (just bought it) has Low Impedance Injectors.

I would presume that generally High are installed in stock condition.

If I order with the 10$ addon for the resisters and end up not having LOW impedance injectors, problems?

Thanks

If your car is stock then they are high impedence, we only offer this as an option for people that are installing a PFC and upgrading their injectors at the same time.

Well, the goal would be to purchase the cable then immediately buy and install the Apexi FC + Commander. Are you saying that to do this I would have to change my injectors?

If so, would it be safer to have the resisters added?

Hey Robert.....I still have the tranny but it finally went out on me at the worst possible time. It was the first day for Pinks at San Antonio. I cranked up the boost a little too much. Anyway, I have my stock tranny back in. Don't know how long it'll last but i was able to dip into the 12's with it.

I wish this harness was available awhile back. It's a lot cheaper than the PCS TCU that I installed but I can't complain because I can do a lot with this TCU. Chris and the rest of the folks at Banzai racing put out excellent products. They rebuilt my engine two years ago.

Sorry to hear that! I went to Pinks when it came to Shreveport. I didn't take my car for the very same reason-I didn't want it to break on me at the track. I also had the PCS TCU, but I agree, the banzai looks like a much easier product to work with. Banzai does make good products. I have their diff brace on my car now. Have you taken a look at the tranny to see what part failed? Are you still using the level 10 TC? I was certain it would be bullet proof.

The Power FC has not been discontinued. The price fluctuates with the US dollar, the weaker it gets the more expensive imported components get.

got mine in the mail today. looks good but will have to wait on install until late next week (going out of town).

Initial review is that the harness is well made. Connections and rubber cementing (for a lack of a better word(s)) are well done. It doesn't look or feel like cheap materials were used.

My only question on the install is whether or not I need to re-solder the 4 wires that are typically cut on the PFC. I couldn't bring myself to pull the tabs out of it but rather cut the 4 wires on the harness high enough to re-solder if needed in the future.

3 on the leftmost tab, 1 on the next one ... Do you know which ones I'm talking about? Blue/Yellow, Brown/Yellow, Black/Red, Blue/Aqua

thanks!

This is a ECU adapter not just a PFC adapter which means you will need to cut the 4 wires for the PFC. We intentionally left them in for people that are planning on running ECUs other than the PFC. Do not bother desoldering, just cut the 4 wires.

my harness is on order. chris said he would set it up for me to run the pfc with the 4 wires cut to order. but you need to request this at time of order since this harness is made to run any ecu... Has anyone got their car up and running yet?please post some info on how things are working

I got my Harness today. nice fast service and packaged well. the harness is a nice well made piece and Chris set it up for me with the wires cut to run the pfc. so I will be ordering the pfc in a couple of weeks. if anyone has installed one yet please post some feedback.

Well i got it installed and have been driving it reguarly and I can say that the shifting is much smoother now than pre-auto harness: especially from 1st to 2nd. I'm not sure if it's psychosematic but I'm not regretting the cash spent on the item. Works perfectly with my setup thus far.
