I even paid him the $10 to make the correction after he pulls a bait and switch.

This invoice is sent after I paid, why would he switch the part to 1"x50' wrap when he doesn't even list one in his sale thread. He then e-mails me saying the price for 2"x50' is $95!!!!! Shipped. Who the hell would pay that?!!!!

Has the same wrap I paid $55 for $25.99 why the hell would I pay $55 for something that retails for $25.99!!!!

I paid $55 for the wrap he has listed and he sends me 1"x50. How the hell did 1"x50" get in the picture after I paid for $55 for what I saw to be 2"x50" wrap. You think if he told me the 2" wrap was $95 shipped I would have bought it?

I offered to ship his products back at my cost as long as he refunds me my money. He says no way, I paid for what the invoice stated when in fact I paid before seeing his BS invoice.

Here is me asking the differance between the wraps he sells. Does he mention size at all. No, because its obvious we are talking about the only wrap he has listed.

IF you want the 2" x 50ft rll the cost of that is now 95.00 shipped HOWEVER I will make you a deal..

$95 dollars for 2"x50' when he has the black roll of 2"x50' for $75


He baited me I paid then he switched it up on me, sending me a BS invoice saying I purchased the 1"x50' roll. AFTER I PAID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All I want is my money back I will eat shipping.

yep sounds kinda fishy to me. Why don't we get his story but it sounds pretty cut and dry to me. This is why I rarely go to people like this, I mainly stick with summit and jegs for stuff like this.

No, you listed something as being DEI 2"x50' for one price and then sent him some generic heat wrap (not DEI like you stated) and a smaller size after he paid. That isn't 'bait and switch', it's fraud. It'd be the same thing if I listed a 57" 1080p TV for $1500, then sent you a 32" non high-def TV after you paid. That is being a total douchebag scammer and you should be banned for it.

You screwed him out of quality and 600 square inches of material. Refund his money.

WRONG.. he did not ask for the DEI he asked for the thermotec NATURAL color snap strap..

Lets not forget my for sale thread was yanked over a week ago WAY before this because I am not a vendor..

I told him EXACTLY what he was getting before the order was placed...

He asked for the Thermotec natural color snap strap NOT DEI

Read it again he asked for the snap strap naturl colro NOT THE DEI...

and I never went by that because that thread was gone and I was offering other items THAT IS WHY I SENT HIM A RECEIPT WITH ORDER CONFIRMATION

I wrote him that he had paid and bought (as stated above)

1 T2 exhaust manifold gasket
and
1 thermotec snap strap style 1" by 50'

he AGREED AND THEN SENT THE EXTRA 10.00 that he originally shorted me..

This is plain and simple he got the wrap saw it was cheaper elsewhere and he wants his money back so he can go buy it elsewhere..

This was the buyers fault for NOT reading his receipt before the transaction was completed.. and asking any questions he may have had..

I did not have any for sale stuff listed so to go by something that was old and removed form the board was not right because I dont offer that stuff on here anymore..

EVEN if this was about the ize (which I clearly noted he knew of before the transaction was completed) Bait and switch never happen he got EXACTLY what he asked for..

there are 2 brand here read them again

the only thing I did was sell him the 1"x50' because that is what I was selling to him and I CLEARLY confirmed it with him BEFORE the transaction was completed..

Basically he in theroy paid me a deposit the 125.00 I sent him the receipt (his invoice) and realised I was shorted asked for the 10.00 that neither of us caught (his mathematical error)

then he read that pm and paid me the 10.00 NEVER mentioning the fact he was getting sa 1" x 50' wrap...

I did not post that becasue at the time my vendor style post was up I was not offereing it. however I made it clear to him (since he never told me what he was looking for except saying thermotec natural snap strap style wrap) I then told him he was getting the 1" x 50'

this is a clear cut case of a buyer not reading his invoice and paying for goods..

I did nothing fishy.. I was clean cut and dry here it is VERY easy to see that.

I recently sold a SSQV to rotary?cool. He was a great buyer, he paid instantly and had good communication. I am sure he was mislead by the original post that said 2 inches. Hopefully this can get resolved without too much conflict.

thats the problem the original post was pulled as I am no longer allowed to sell on this forum as a vender style seller.. so I was not going by that and I CLEARLY stated what he was going to receive and what he had paid for in which case he finalized the order by sending me the rest of the cash...

Cut and dry bait and switch. I chose #3, why did I recieve something thats not listed. What else is here to discuss? Your BS invoice changed the product after I paid.

You had not paid in full you received the invoice at the same time you were asked for the rest of the payment.. you OBVIOUSLY read the invoice because you made it to the bottom of the page and you sent the money I asked for in over to finish the payment..

Again BEFORE the payment was accepted, before the order was placed BEFORE you completly paid for all of yoru tiems you were givin the invoice aka bill of sale for what you were being sold... you read it you agreed with it and you sent the rest of the payment... I dont see the confuson here..

that was from a post that was no longer availble and was pulled form the forum... (the link above was from the middle of Setp.. prices and parts do change thus why I CLEARLY told u exactly what u were buying and you CLEARLY agrred by finsihing payment.


If you can answer yes to this you get yoru payment refended..

DID you receive this invoice AFTER you sent the COMPLETE amount for the items bought..


NO This invoice ACOMPANIED the request for the remainder owed for the parts.. what u stated above is wrong I DI NOT change the item or the price AFTER you paid.. I gave u the invoice AT TIME OF PAYMENT .. BEFORE the invoice was COMPLETLY paid for.

kinda fishy, it's not worth losing your rep because of something petty like this. Refund his money! you'll lose what, 25 bucks. I mean you must make at least 50% profit on that stuff. It wont hurt and it will sure as hell help your reputation.

One could also say just like spooled is claiming with his "you agreed to the bill of sale" that he had agreed to 125.00 shipped as confirmed in his response. Therefore you should have owed him nothing. So therefore he not only sent you the wrong part but also jacked the price up on you after agreeing to and confirming 125.00.

As I have mentioned before I dont run a business I normally make 10-20.0 MAX after I cover my paypal fees and shipping from every which where

on this particular deal I made 8.00 (if u have to know)

As for selling fine whatever I can quit this game because it is not worth it...

Since where were buyers NOT RESPONSIBLE to make sure they are being sent out the correct stuff?

I made this plain and clear what he was going to receive AND HE AGREED TO IT... then the items were bought, sent and received.. THEN he got mad.. why not because of the size because any fool can see that they agreed to it.. but because he found it for cheaper and wants it back to buy it cheaper...

Sorry you cant defend the buyers all the time they have to be responsible for what they purchase as well. ESPECIALLY when it is written in black and white in front of them and they AGREE TO IT

Exactly. I paid the $10 because I didn't want to be a shyster. Spooledup has no problem with that title.

Since when is a seller NOT RESPONSIBLE for making sure that they send the correct stuff to the buyer? I think you have your roles reversed here. The ONLY thing the buyer is responsible for is sending money. The rest is up to the seller.

You openly agreed to accept $125.00 and then requested the correct amount. It's obvious that you did not read the pm correctly. So you made a mistake. It happens to everyone.
He did not read the invoice properly either. He made a mistake also. He recognized the overlooked addition error but when he was reminded of it he took care of it. He overlooked that you had put 1 inch down instead of 2 inch.

Your threads had only stated a 2 inch tape that your were selling. I agree with Rotary?cool about the fact of why would he expect anything else? Why would you offer him 1 inch when you have never advertised it? He assumed that he was going to get 2 inch at the $55.00 price. He probably just looked at the dollar totals. Saw $55.00 and that would assume that it was the only thing you have listed for size which is 2 inch. Your August ad, September ad and your end of September ads all just list 2 inch tape. The September ad not being removed from view until Oct-9th. You and I know that no one uses 1 inch wrap on headers.

Why would you not take back the merchandise? If he has not opened the package or destroyed it then you can get your money back. What if he agrees to eat the shipping charges from you to him and from him to you on the product.
You are not out anything at this point except time.

I feel that at a minimum you owe him $10.00. That's a given from what I have read of the facts. Being that you acknowledged and agreed to the listed total.

You had an opportunity as I have told you in Pm's to make a "Good Business" decision. You viewed this issue as a problem when in fact you should have viewed it as an opportunity. A opportunity to promote further sales and a rep for making good overall decisions. The things that members look for when buying on this forum.
Because of whatever rock stubborn reason you have put in her head you are going to argue over a small amount of money in your pocket. Clearly when all of the facts point to just a very poor case of bad communication and comprehension skills.

Not to take anyones side BUT at no time was a 1" product listed. I firmly believe Spooledup is WRONG and should end all this by refunding the money ONCE he receives the merchandise back. Simple solution to a situation that is getting out of hand.
