I regret that I have to open this thread but it seems that this GB went nowhere like so many other GBs - that although Moe said in the beginning that he would handle this differently than other GBs like JKL etc. and that he would be around 24/7 if any problems arise.

In the beginning he updated the thread with pictures and info on the progress. Judging from the pics he uploaded, the still unfinished pieces looked fine so far. But after 6 months there were fewer and fewer updates. He told us that it would take longer than he thought because these were more difficult to make than he had anticipated but that he would make it up to us.

Then ca. 2 months ago he stopped replying to mails and pms. His last activity was 8-25-11.

As far as I know there are 8 people in this GB who paid either the neccesary deposit or the full price for the items. All together we paid him over 5000 dollars.

Does anyone know Moe in person? I thought that Moe was a rotary enthusiast and trustworthy member of this forum. Unfortunately he has not behaved in a way that would affirm this. But I still hope there is an explanation for his absence.

I think it's time for a refund or an offer from Moe for a solution. I would prefer to not have to take legal action.

Woa...I'm sorry to hear this. It seems this is a recurring theme amongst Carbon Fiber producers. To be honest, I don't recall that member being around too often so in the future you might not want to send deposits until a product is complete or you completely trust the person producing.

I hope you come to an amicable resolution to this issue.

Sent him a hood scoop to modify and receive a vented scoop in exchange, but no response to my reply in the thread.

This was back when his screen name was S14.3REW. His profile doesn't list himself as a vendor anymore, but I don't know if it expired or was manually dropped.

 

I went out of my way to locate, purchase, and mail him RHD door panels so he could make carbon copies of them. All with the intention that he would mail me back a set of carbon copies and I told him he could sell the ones I sent him since they were in really good shape. These emails were going back and forth and the parts got shipped out in Dec of 2010. Here is an email from Moe from Dec 11th 2010

"Just saw the pictures and those are exactly what i need. Also if you happen to have a set of mud guards and OEM 99 spec sideskirts that would be good too...It's hard to find these in the US. If not it's cool.

I'll definitely send you the carbon version of what ever you send me when there ready.

Then I sent them out and I didn't hear back from him again until July 13th 2011 when he wrote this.

I haven't had a lot of time to work on them and relocating my shop... so work was put on pause a little.

Just wondering when they are done, will it be going back to japan or will you be back in the states or where ever your located when your not in the military?

that's all I have thanks to Howru... If I were in the US I would have already payed him a visit but all the other guys from the GB somehow don't care that they got screwed over by that a**hole.
