Here's the RE vented scoop.

I think another company offered a similar scoop just can't remember right now.

Unless you cut up the bottom of the hood, that thing won't actually vent much air at all (if any). The opening is way back where the stock intercooler would be, and that's hardly an optimal path for air to take. It's much more likely to flow back past the engines/transmission.

That is a pic of my hood scoop vent. When you remove the stock vent there are two holes already there so you don't need to cut the stock hood. The vent is forward of the pullies. When you look down through the vent on my car I can see my electric fan motor on my rad.

I got mine from 87GTR from a group by a few years ago.

If any one is interested in this....Send me your OEM scoop and once i'm done with the prototype and mold i'll send you a free fiberglass or CF piece. Then we could start a GB if there's a lot of interest if not i'll just stock a couple at a time.

This won't be 100% the same as the above but similar.

There's a 4 slot version of the above pictured RE-a reverse scoop floating around. Personally just that extra slot makes the whole scoop look lame for some reason
aesthetically.Might be better to consider making a copy of it then changing it around.Anyways that's my 2 cents worth.

i have a customer who is interested in the scoop, since it's so difficult to get the RE amemiya you have another customer if you get it done.

It will be a copy of the re-a but I'm copying the design to the metal version so once I make the mold fitment should be good. Making a fiberglass mold off of a fiberglass part is no good fitment wise.

This will be reasonably priced estimate to be around $140-$160 for FG and $180-$200 for CF. I'll let every one know the exact price once I receive the oem piece to work on.(should be soon)

Will leave this thread here for now bc I'm not sure if I'll do a gb or just start selling it.

This is a rough prototype. The last slot will be angled like the rest.
