SATAN'S RX7--had issue with motor but completely resolved.
I bought a used engine off him which he said was rebuild and had less then 5000miles on it. He showed me a video of the engine running and i was convinced he was legit.I go pick up the engine and he already had pulled it out and claimed it was the same engine(big mistake on my part). He also gave me the compression test which was about 110 on both rotors.I take my car to IRP performanceand right off the bat IHOR (the owner_ tells me it's a blown motor.I tried getting in contact with him and he replied that it is the coolant seals, but he sold it to me claiming it was the engine in the video and that nothing was wrong with it.So i had IHOR open the engine and saw a mess.apexi seals were bend, rotor housing were done and ofcourse the coolant seals weren't good.He put a engine together with junkyard parts and sold it to me!!!!!!No response from him just received a email saying all sales are final. Now i know what u would think u shouldn't of taken the engine, yes but i saw how many posts and good feedback he had that i decided to trust him.I am no expert in rx7's i just love this car that's why i am a member of this forum because i believed all people her share the same love for our cars and respect fellow owners.I guess i was wrong.Only biggest mistake he made was he let me pick up the engine from his own house so.........

Damn same thing happen to me when I first got started in rotary. The guy had a video showing a running motor but when i open it up coolant and half of the motor was junk. Look like some of these older rx7 owner are getting shady? Good luck and hope you get some money back.

Nikolas--
I found the for-sale thread, but it would be helpful if you could post up any communications between you two regarding this sale. Emails can be forwarded if you have any--just PM me and I will give you an address to send them to. PM's can also help if you have any of those. I also PM'ed the buyer and asked him to visit this thread.

Wow six months after he picks up the engine he decides to write this and threaten me?
This is quoted directly from my for sale thread:
https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-rx-7-1993-2002-parts-99/fs-huge-part-out-whole-car-lots-aftermarket-every-part-must-sold-800725/
"Rebuilt engine by Atkins rotary: 3MM Apex seals, street ported, This engine runs really strong, never had a problem, Approx. 30K on motor: Shortblock: $1900 Plus shipping"
It says 30K right in the sale thread, NOT 5,000 miles. I also told him this motor was rebuilt in 2001, which makes it 8 years old.
THIS IS ALSO Taken from my for sale thread:
"The car still runs great, and I would like to sell the engine to someone local so they can drive it and test it"
I wanted someone to come and drive it so nothing like this would happen, and asked him twice if he would like to come and drive the car first and listen to it run himself, and he declined. This is the only engine and RX7 I have ever owned, and it was rebuilt by Atkins rotary in 2001. I drove this car the day before I pulled the motor.
I have never had any problems or negative feedback, and to be accused and beat down like this is very upsetting to me.
I am a very honest person and a honest seller, and will be happy to work out something with the buyer, even though I made every effort to make an honest sale, hence letting him come to my house to pick up the parts he needed.
He advised me that he left the engine outside after he purchased it from me for two weeks in the cold rain, and he transported the engine away from my house in a garbage bag and a flatbed truck full of stones, pebbles, and rocks.
To THREATEN me and my Family is absolutely appalling to me without first talking with me about it. its one thing to ask for some of the purchase price back, but to threaten to come to my house and do something to me or my family is taking it to a whole new level. I have never had a worse experience in my whole life.
i replied to his message today as soon as I got it, and offered to work out some sort of agreement:
ME to him:
"Sure I want to work something out, you already gave me negative feedback before asking me though, why did you do that? "

I know you know better than to pretend that he "All of a sudden" had a problem "six months later" because that thread talks all about the blown coolant seals and you even posted in that thread. So, please, let's not start off on this foot.....he also states that during this time he contacted you, so you should hardly act surprised now.

2--he complimented your mom--THAT is a threat against her in your eyes?
I guarantee you this--if I felt that someone scammed me out of nearly $2000, you can bet your last breath that I would also be "seeing them real soon" if they continued to exhibit your "all sales are final" attitude. That doesnt in any way mean that I would have just threatened them--it means that business needs to be handled! As far as I can tell up to now, this post from you(and your response to his "threatening PM") are the first times that you have ever said anything about being willing to work something out. What did you expect him to do--sit quietly and go away?
i replied to his message today as soon as I got it, and offered to work out some sort of agreement:

Let me be clear on this--I do NOT condone threats. I do NOT condone anyone being dishonest. But you didnt leave this guy any choice--he came to you right after he put the motor in. And the only reason why "six months later" this is still going on is because you have so far refused to do something to make it right.
I know I dont have all the facts. But all I can do is look at what has been provided to us. So far, you have not shown any of your assertions to be true. If you have proof that he threatened you, or of anything else you have stated, then by all means post it up. Thats the whole purpose of this forum to get to the bottom of it all and find a solution.

I didn't threaten his mom!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was just disapointed in him and just wanted to say that his mom is a good person and that he should try to be nice like his mom. The story is i went to pick it up and my truck broke down. His mom was so nice and cared about my problem.she helped me alot, offered to drive me to the train station ,arranged with the mechanic to pick up the truck in the morning ,generaly very nice person. He was giving me excuse after excuse that i left the motor outside and something might of happened to it and whatever. Btw i did send him a pm saying don't worry if the engine is blown it's my fault lol ,which i was joking,i thought it was something i did wrong which is not the case. After that pm he send me another saying all sales r final and good luck. I have all the pm i send him and i could post them if someone wants.
For the record if this issue is resolved i would like to withdraw the negative feedback. I am out 1900 and i have a car with no engine. I became a member of this forum thinking all of the people here are honest. I still want to believe that.
THANKS AGAIN
NIKOLAS

Nikolas, I hope you get this situation resolved. FWIW...not all members on here are that honest. Don't just blindly assume that's the case. I'm willing to say a vast majority are, but practice due dilligence with any purchase you do online. You should always be careful. It's unfortunate, but necessary.

Just for reference I am on the good seller list as well, and have sold hundreds of items on this website without any problems.
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...=satan%27s+rx7
This comes down to mis-communication, it is hard for me to tell if someone is joking, being sarcastic, etc....through an email message. if someone sends me a message saying the motor is blown, but don't worry about it, I take that literally, I have a hard time telling if he is joking through his posts. Anyway we settled on a refund and I have sent it to him today.
I really did think this motor had lots of life left, my mom and wife were there and took the video of the engine starting and driving just days before I took it out for him. It was running fine for me and pulled strong for that matter. I am not a scammer and would appreciate if this post was removed from the website.
Thanks,
Brad

Our practice here is to not delete these threads. The reason behind that is because the threads show exactly how both sides handled the issue. That's important information for someone down the road that is considering a purchase from that seller. I will amend the title however to show that this issue has been resolved. Thanks to satan's rx7 for coming through--believe it or not that's getting more and more uncommon these days. Glad you handled your business.
