rxroller, im not gunna talk **** to a mod for obvious reasons.
anyways, i feel like you keep repeating the same thing over and over and over to keep stirring the pot, when the wheels have OBVIOUSLY been shipped, so, with that said, stop repeating yourself. you cant go to his house and beat him over the head, hes a grown *** adult man.

"I'm not gonna talk trash to a mod for obvious reasons, but here I go--I'm gonna talk trash to you anyways..."
Good call, Mr. Wizard.
Anyways, cut the crap. The problem with you is that you only look at this thread, at this sale. I have to look at whether or not this was a simple mixup or something bigger because I have to consider whether or not this guy should be allowed to continue selling here AFTER this sale is finished. Dont try to tell me how to do my job. This is your one and only warning--next time, youre gonna simply get a boot in the back side off this forum. You dont understand what my concern is, because you dont have to understand it. I dont have that luxury. So, allow me to be as eloquent as possible when I tell you....
BACK YOURSELF THE HELL UP
I do hope I have made my position clear enough to you. In case you dont know, the TOS that you agreed to follow is not optional.
did he **** up? yes
did this thing REALLY get blown out of proportion? yes
is it resolved? the wheels have OBVIOUSLY been sent out, BUT well see when reese gets them

and to reeses fiancee, 1k is alot of money to some, specially when youre not in the position of having alot of money laying around. but i feel like your post was out of line and kinda worthless empty words. we get that an issue is on going, but guilt tripping? this is a forum afterall, and not a soap opera.
1--stop "talking trash to a mod" while youre "not talking trash to a mod".
2--stop acting like you have any legitimate reason to defend Eddie or down anyone who spoke against him. This isnt your issue, you have no dog in this fight. And you attacked me and 20B's fiancee....two people that very much have a dog in this fight. Next time, dont post in one of these threads unless you were either the buyer or the seller.

No. Being lied to by a seller is not cool no matter how you spin it or how it ends up. Your being trusted by the seller to be honest. How would you like to be lied to from a guy with your money? This whole situation could have been resolved with better communication from the seller instead of the cluster **** it turned into now.
The wheels being late caused alot of trouble. The buyer could have had alot to deal with if he didn't have his friend lend him wheels.
What do you think the buyer did wrong?
I'm glad your not a mod magus. If all that matters is the end result, this place would be a terrible place to buy/sell. The only way to get someone to do the right thing would be to make a thread like this. Imagine all the crap you would have to wade through?

Hey man thanks!! I`ve been in 20b`s postion, and i`ve been in Eddie`s position. You learn from your mistakes. Bad news travels faster than good news. I`m glad this was resolved. I don`t post a hell of alot on here, mostly use the search`s to figure out what I need, but when need be I will give my .02!

Now a second mod is telling you---- stay out of this thread, and this entire section, unless you have an issue that affects you personally. Choose not to listen to this bit of advice, and see what happens

Dude, for real? This isnt the first grade playground at recess. This is a forum where, as it states in the rules, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE TO ANYONE. THIS FORUM IS NOT A DEMOCRACY. YOU DO NOT GET TO CAST A VOTE AS TO WHETHER OR NOT YOU SHOULD FOLLOW THE RULES HERE. What I tell you is meant for you. Why should I "tell the same to everyone else" when youre the one that isnt following the rules? GROW THE HELL UP.
Well then, since you "welcome it with open arms", then you dont need to be on this forum anymore. From the sounds of it, you like to think youre some sort of billy badass. Well, best of luck to you with that. Oh, one more thing there--when you come back from the ban that you now are getting, if this behavior continues, I will be more than happy to make your vacation permanent. And before you post one more word on this forum, youre going to read the rules here....and actually follow them.
Yeah, I bet you are. Look, you dont tell someone "I wont talk trash about you" and then talk trash about them. And you dont offer "my apologies" while at the same time trying to tell me how to do my job here.
No, it needs to apply to the bigmouth that thinks he has the right to shoot off with language that doesnt belong here, and insult people along the way, and THEN actually has the nerve to think that this place runs on your say-so. Thankfully it does not.
Best of luck to you. Since I informed you that you were not to post here again and you chose to continue doing so, you can now have some time off. We'll talk about your future forum status when you come back......if there will be a status at all.

As an update, the UPS numbers all show good shipments. Eddie sent them as 4 separate packages, and they show that they will deliver by end of day on Monday. Figures that's a day I work until 10 pm. Blah. You did that on purpose, didn't you Eddie? LMAO.
At least I'll have something to come home to. Heh.

But yeah please do post pics of wheels on the car. I'll tell you know the packaging wasn't amazing but I made sure the faces were protected. The tires served as protection on their own as well.

As an ex-UPS driver, I can vouch that UPS will work on President's Day. And Thanksgiving. And Christmas. But at least the last two events were for NextDayAir's only.
Normally, RBII's abrasive style puts me off as well but he has an actual point here. "1Z" is some category so the softare for tracking knows it's a UPS package and not something being taken care of for another shipper. The next six digits are shipper-specific. The "03" means it's just a ground shipment. The next 8 numbers are randomly generated to provide specific tracking capability for just that package carrying just that barcode.
So here's the fun part. RedBaronII cites the maligned "1z1289880377361988" that proved untrackable. The shipper there was "128-988". The posted image which is legit and traveling in the system now has this tracking number..."1Z8928380377361988".
In a UPS ground shipment, the 1Z and 03 will never change. The last eight numbers should always be different. The 6 digit shipper number shouldn't change for a particular shop....so the shipper RBII is citing is 128-988 while the actual shipper is 892-838. Two different shippers. If I was still UPS, I could give the names of who owns those shipper numbers....but i don't anymore, thank God.

Ok. My fiancee' just called and told me the wheels arrived. That's the good. The fact that the UPS guy made a comment to her about the packaging being "ridiculously cheap" bothers me. If this is the "improved" packaging, the original packing must have been nothing more than slapping a shipping label on each wheel.
From the couple of camera phone pics she sent, the front face of the wheels were covered with a SINGLE piece of cardboard and taped in place. The back side of at least one of the wheels is completely exposed and unprotected. One piece of protective cardboard is ripped wide open with the wheel face exposed. I understand you can't make these things bulletproof, but this is barely a step beyond not even trying.
I'll update later when I see the wheels for myself. Considering the absolutely shitty packaging, I expect any damage incurred from shipping to be covered by you, Eddie. I understood that there were to be a couple of minor scuffs from normal wear, but I'm going to be pissed if they need refinishing.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Ok. I managed to get across town to the house to give the wheels a once over. One of the wheels had protection on both sides. The other three were only protected on the front face. Of those three, ONE had a couple of layers of cardboard. The other two had the really thin cardboard like the kind you find wrapped around lawn tools.
Two of the protective covers were torn all the way through and one of them had fresh marks from where something rubbed the lip. The others, luckily, seemed to be ok.
The tires were in pretty decent shape as advertised. Two things: 1) I now have a souveneir from California. There was a small nail fully embedded in the center of one rear tire. I doubt Eddie even knew it was there. You can't have it back... it's mine!! LOL. and 2) You need to check your camber. Definitely more tire wear on the inside edges.
All in all, they look great especially for the price I paid. When I get the time/money, I'll probably get the various blemishes taken care of on the lips but until then, I'm going to LOVE these wheels!
Eddie, as we've already chatted about, just try to maintain better contact with your buyers. The biggest problem is not knowing what's going on. In this instance, you had that photo shoot. If you had brought that up from the beginning, I could have worked with it. It's in the past now, but just try to remember that in the future. Secondly, packaging needs a bit of work. We got lucky that there was no damage to the actual product, but it could have been worse.
Outside of that, Eddie has been in touch with me since the wheels were shipped, and we've worked things out. I do intend to give him another chance in the future when one of his items becomes available.
