Problems with FC_Eddie
I arranged to buy the RE Amemiya AW7 wheels Eddie was selling for $1000 shipped. We made a deal to give him my 10th AE badges for a credit of $90 which left a balance of $910. I sold my Work Termist wheels locally to fund the AW7s and as soon as my buyers' money cleared to my Paypal account, I paid Eddie. The money went to Eddie on January 27th. He said he was busy with work, but he would ship them out that Saturday. I said that would be fine. Up until this point, he had been really good about staying in touch.
On the 31st, he respopnded to my inquiry about the tracking number. He said that he did not ship them out because he got called in to work at the last minute, but that they were all wrapped up and that they would be shipped that evening. He assured me that he would contact me that night with the shipping info.
He didn't.
The next day I sent him a message letting him know that his 10th AE badges were shipped. He said cool, and that he would send me the tracking info "shortly".
He didn't.
The next day (Feb 2nd), he replied to a messsage I had sent him telling him that i was getting paranoid about this since I've had bad transactions online. He said he understood, and gave me the following reply:
"Hey Reese sorry for delay...I got a call from the UPS store where I was sending the wheels from last night. The lady said the way I wrapped the wheels would not be sufficient to protect them during shipping. I strapped cardboard over the faces with bubble wrap and she aid it would be fine.,..guess not. So today I'm wrapping the wheels again but putting them in boxes instead so you'll be getting 4 total. This lady is super nice and was looking out for us in a sense but now has delayed shipping another day. I say better late than never in this case since the UPS guys are animals with their packages LOL"
I sent him a message that afternoon to make sure that he had my correct address. No need to have a problem like that cause more issues! He replied at 6:54 pm EST:
Got it just in time...I'll be leaving the office soon to get them and head back to UPS...I'll shoot the tracking number in at AM
He didn't. For a week, he didn't.
I sent him PMs with my phone number in it over the next few days with no answers. Finally, on the 7th, he sent me a PM saying that he had had a death in the family, so he had not been online. He also said that he had intended to have a friend of his log in and send me a PM explaining everything, but he later said he never got around to telling his friend to do so. He offered to either refund my money or send the wheels out that day (the 7th).
I told him I needed the wheels since my car was sitting on jack stands at the house I had just moved out of and that the realty company was getting on me threatening to have it towed since they already had an interested party to rent. I sent him a long message venting as politely as possible. In response, he apologized proifusely and sent this:
Reese I totally understand your frustrations but when i said I would ship the wheels "tonight" I got called straight to the hospital. My relative has been sick for sometime but I didnt feel it necessary to tell you about it since it had nothing to do with our transaction. Obviously it ended up affecting our deal and terms but I guess its getting better with each passing day. I dont need to rip anyone off. I have a good rep to uphold and sponsorships to keep so trust me, I wouldnt taint my own name over 800 bucks. Not shipping on time for a personal matter is one thing but ripping someone off intentionally is never an option for me which is why I tried to have a buddy log on to PM you but I didnt get to make that call last Saturday.
Anyway, I will have that tracking number tonight and I will call you to give it to you.

Not only that, but he didn't answer the phone when I called around midnight EST. That would have been about 9pm his time. I called again the next two days (Tuesday the 8th and again today, Wednesday the 9th). I've left a few voice mails. He has also been on the forum, soI know he is around.
I want my wheels. I took care of my side of this deal, and now I expect him to uphold his. He claims that he wants to keep his reputation clean, but this is NOT the way to do that.
If any of you are friends with him, I'd appreciate any help in this.

I`ll let him know via Facebook. He`s a straight up guy. I`ve done a ton of dealing with him on stuff well over $1000... He`s a busy man, so am I. I understand where your coming from. He`ll make it right believe me.

I just got a message from Slick Willie saying he just spoke to Eddie about how to ship the wheels. Thank you, Kyle for helping!
First, I was under the impression Eddie has sold/shipped wheels before. Why is it such a problem now?
Second, as of 1250 pm today, Eddie still has not responded to my calls, texts, or PMs. I'm only getting information due to people outside this transaction. It would take a hell of a lot for me to ever do business with Eddie again. I can understand busy, but ignoring someone completely and having other parties get involved is NOT good business, nor is it good for one's reputation. Besides that, if you can talk to Kyle, there is no reason why you didn't have the time to call ME!

that sucks but it's only been a week and a half, give him some time to follow through. if it's a rush to get the wheels make sure to let him know before doing the transaction so he can be prepared for it.
not good of him to make excuses either, i doubt anyone died or he would have said wife/father/mom/etc. a "death in the family" is a work excuse.
i guess the moral is live and learn and hopefully it gets straightened out, sometimes things come up and it takes longer to get things moving than expected. but this seems a bit premature having been a short period of time.

I understand what you mean to a degree, but what pisses me off most is being lied to each time with "they're going out tonight" and being avoided. I didn't post all of the other PMs where he kept promising they were going to be shipped, etc.
As for it needing to be a rush, it wouldn't have been one if he had shipped them when he assured me he would. I guess my "problem" is expecting people to keep up with their end of a deal, be it shipping product or building a motor without it grenading 100 miles into break in. Lol

Per Willie's PM to me yesterday, Eddie was supposed to send the wheels to me this morning. He was on the forum just a couple of hours ago, and I've heard nothing.

Ok. Home now. As expected, the phone went to voice mail, so I left a message saying it was me, the time and date and that I was checkiing on the status of my wheels in case he forgot who I am...

As of today, I still have not heard anything from Eddie. I just tried calling him again, and nothing. No PM, no phone call, no tracking number. Who knows where he lives?
Maybe someone needs to go pick the wheels up from him (unless of course, he has sold them to his buddy that he mentioned wanted to get them). That would explain all of this deception.

probably because his friend heard that he had a good offer on them and put up at the same time you were dealing with him. having cash in hand he may have sold them and now is in a perdicament in trying to get them back to make good on the deal. just a possibility. if that's the case he probably is having a difficult time trying to get his friend to part with them. hopefully he isn't being a dick thinking you'll just forget about it sooner or later, it's $1000 after all... people' have gotten retribution for far less than that before, this anonimity of the internet is getting a little too far out of hand.

I just tried calling Eddie once again. No change in his pattern; he didn't answer. Fine. I'm looking into what i need to do to file a claim against him with the FTC. With the amount of money he has stolen from me, plus it being across state lines, it appears that he is now in violation of Federal law. If that's what he wants from this, so be it. Both people from this forum and myself have tried to give him every opportunity to fulfill his part of this transaction, but it appears that he is nothing more than a swindler and a thief.
I find it somewhat amusing that none of his other buyers have stepped forward to defend him. Perhaps it is because he screws everyone over in one way or another?
I don't know what else to do. I know for a fact that this little boy wouldn't dare try pulling this **** if he was in the same town as me. It's easy to pretend you don't know people are looking for you when you only see them online. :shrug:

Karack, I'm not sure of his address. I have the name of the person on the Paypal account he gave me (D. Cordova) and he verified that he got it. I have the address at what I assume is his work where I sent the 10th Anniversary badges. That's in North Hollywood.

Just got back to my PC at work to find a ton of PMs and voicemails.
First of all, Reese...you're a great guy to work with. Paid really fast and even asked about getting more items from me in the future. As my second PM shows, I had a family death to deal with and I'm sorry but that ALWAYS come first to me. I explained that in the hopes that you could cut me some slack but instead you were super rude about it and not understanding at all....this is what you wrote to after I explained that some I loved dearly passed away:
I understand you have had a hardship, but it has been WAY too long with no contact whatsoever. According to the PM you sent me last week, you were just about to leave the office and ship them. The timing of this current delay with no contact seems odd.
Please send me the damned wheels.

Anyway, long story short I just moved to a new place and I get shitty cell phone service cause of old lead paint in the walls and I cant log onto the Club on my phone. I do go on FB but thats just when I'm driving around or waiting for clients and I just now got Reese's messages.

to play it safe, give me til tomorrow morning to have the number as I cant log in at home.
I do wanna apologize for lack of communication and for seeming to be avoiding my commitments. Now that my personal issues have been resolved, i can get back to my routinely life.
