mazdaenthused, no more excuses!

I sent a money order in the amount of $70 (the agreed price between myself and Jason Gallivan, or mazdaenthused) for a downpipe weeks ago. The quoted PM's are basically from that point on.

JASON, you've told me more than once you would have my downpipe IN THE MAIL the next day or two, and failed to fulfill your word each time so far. I've been patient and gracious, and you've just sat on the money I sent you for the downpipe. You were so insistent about a money order because 'it protects you against fraud somehow'*, and I was fine with that because I respect people and understand that some people just plain screw others over. I'm sick of your excuses, I'm sick of not being able to run my car so I can work on it more and test if my other new items are working properly, your missing item is holding EVERYTHING up far longer than it should have. My last message was three days ago, you need to show yourself. If you can't produce a tracking number within the next three days I demand either:
A) $15 discount via paypal PLUS proof of shipment within the next 7 days
OR
B) Full refund.

That's 3 days from now to ship and or prove you've shipped, or 7 days from now to give me a $15 discount as well as prove shipment. Otherwise I want my money back. I believe that's more than fair. If a rabid dog tore your arms off, I want proof, and I still want my downpipe. If you can't handle the task, find someone who will do it for you. I will send a PM containing a link to this thread so you shouldn't miss it once you're logged in.

*paraphrased

No excuses...send the man what he paid you for. This **** is getting ridiculous. I'm sure you weren't too busy to spend the money he paid you

Seems like you're not the only one he's dicking around

Recent activity shows that he hasn't been on the board since 9-8-07. Also, in the future I suggest NEVER buying ANYTHING from a 15 year old.

I don't want to call him. He's been on the forum and I've sent him messages. There's nothing more I have to say than what's already in this thread.

I'm talking to Jason on AIM and he said he shipped yesterday, but that his receipt is elsewhere and he'll send me the shipping number tonight. I reread how I worded my ultimatum and it reads confusing, so if Jason comes up with proof of shipping by tonight like he said he would then I won't be requesting a discount.

Here is our conversation:
AIM IM with Jason Gallivan <rockintheegcoupe>.
10:57 AM
Me: Jason, have you sent the downpipe?
Jason: sent it yestarday
Jason: seriously appologize for the delay
Me: what's the tracking number?
Jason: **** hold up let me see if i can find the recipt again
Jason: i sent it usps
11:00 AM
Me: they still gave you a number though didn't they? I know USPS does that
Jason: i'm sure they did I just have to find the damn receipt which I think is in the car my mother took to work
Me: ok, please try to get that to me by tonight
Jason: yea i def. did
Jason: so i will get it to you when I get home from school
Me: ok, thank you
Jason: no problem sir....
Jason: again I do appologize
Me: do you understand what I was saying in the complaint thread?
Jason: was not aware there was one
Jason: but I completely understand
Me: I sent you a PM with a link to the thread and I know you had been online since I sent it
Jason: I hope I dont get blocked
Me: do you not read your PM's?
Jason: i honestly did not see it
Jason: look right now
Me: I don't think you'll be blocked, especially if you make amends. nobody expects perfection, I was just frustrated that you had promised twice to ship within a day or two and then didn't
Jason: i know man I just have been sooo busy its not even funny
Jason: this is the first time i have even been home in the last 2 weeks
Me: it's just wise to plan ahead, to make room in your schedule, especially if you know you may be busy
Jason: oh i understand
Jason: completely

taking care of the situation... hopefully making ammends.... I can't tell you how much I appreciate these guys being patient with me... I have honestly been incred. busy... they will get their items. I understand fully the need for this thread and again seriously appologize for the inconvenience. I will assure you that this type of issue will NEVER be a problem again and please dont be affraid to purchase items from me.

I have gone out on limbs to deliver stuff for people not so local (drove to indiana for someone and drove north of the city to drop the interior off to someone). I know that means nothing but I AM deticated to this site and its people and I just really regret my mistake....

well, it's been almost 24 hours and still nothing. I've seen him on nopistons.com, too, and by the look of things the same thing may be happening there.

djmtsu, do your thing

Why can't you just send speedoflife the item that he pay for. Gosh, excuses are bullshit. That explain why he is still in highschool.

Today:

11:53 AM
Me: Jason, what's going on?
Jason: should be getting it within the next few days
Me: do you have a tracking number?
Jason: cant tell you how much I appologize
Jason: no but i do have a delivery confirmation number
11:55 AM
Jason: but thats in my car
Me: like the last time, huh?
Jason: I SWEAR TO ******* GOD IT GOt shipped ou
Jason: you will get it in the next few day
Jason: s
Jason: PROMISE
Me: I never got anything, and you never produced a number either
Jason: it got shipped out yestarday
Jason: you should get it within the next few days
Me: I need a number, or I can't believe a word you say
Jason: well they did not give me one big guy
Me: you said you have a delivery confirmation number
Jason: yea...
Me: who did you ship it through?
Jason: that i do
Jason: USPS
Me: well I'll need that dc number. it can at least be used to prove you've shipped something
Jason: ok hold on... i'll run out in 40 degree weather in my boxers just for you big guy
Me: whatever it takes
Me: if you're telling me the truth, I can understand your frustration, but you have to understand that you've been delaying this a very long time and it's not my responsibility to fix what's happened here.
Jason: i know man
12:25 PM
Me: so when will I have the dc number?
Jason: when I run outside in 40 degree weather in my boxers
Me: so when will that be? you could put some clothes on, y'know
12:30 PM
Jason: i gotta take a shower and get ready for work anyway in like 5 mins
Me: that doesn't tell me when you'll get the number to me
Jason: Its a DC number man... its not going to do you any good anyway untill you sign for the damn downpipe
Jason: ps you DO live in Ames, IA right?
Me: yes. you at least have a receipt or label number, right?
Me: I've sent a number of packages through USPS and there's always a useful number they give me, I don't have to ask for it
Jason: ok... hold on two seconds
12:35 PM
Jason: **** bad idea... prob. should go out in boxers with the new pre-school across the street haha
Jason: brb getting now
12:40 PM
Jason: 03070020000279875402
Jason: dc number
Me: ok, thank you
Jason: what else you want I have the reciept right here
Jason: oh here we go
Jason: label number
Jason: 03070020000279875402
Me: that's the same number. even if it were different it'd probably show the same thing on USPS.com
12:45 PM
Jason: ****... it is isn't it
Me: that's alright. thanks for getting that for me
Jason: well I seriously do apologize about everything
Jason: when I told you I shipped it I was going to get it out the next day
Jason: but it was just like all the other times I was going to ship it.... something either came up or I just didn't have the time
Me: I need to get going
Me: thanks for the number

The dc number does show a package shipped yesterday from Naperville, IL. Since the USPS system isn't very useful I can't tell where the package is supposed to end up, but I finally have proof that something was shipped so we'll see in a few days what's up.

The dp arrived in the mail yesterday and I was able to pick it up today. Damn. As I already bought another dp, this one is now for sale.

I will not do business with Jason Gallivan again.
