The Bad: mazdaenthused AKA Jason Gallivan AKA Stoopid Fast Productions

mazdaenthused AKA Jason Gallivan AKA Stoopid Fast Productions

So I mailed the money order on the 13th of August for a chargepipe/BOV and Jason responded on the 25th that he had been really busy and been having some issues cashing the money order (because it was from Canada). After going back a forth and me calling Canada Post, I informed him he could just go to the post office to cash it rather than banks or currency exchanges. The last I heard from him was on the 28th of August letting me know he would try the post office to cash it. It has now been 2 weeks with no response. I have sent PM's and an email and have heard nothing back. I hope he can redeem himself as I can understand being really busy, but this is ridiculous.

Jason, just send my stuff!

Wow, this is the second thread about this guy in the past few days.

Seems like a con to me...hope he gets what he deserves. Side note, I wouldn't buy anything from a 15 year old...ever. Especially a 15 year old who thinks they run a business. Stupid immature lazy high school kids are ruining this forum.

I don't understand why people still are trusting enough to send Money Orders. Paypal may be a PIA to get your money back through but at least you stand a chance. I wouldn't buy from anyone who doesn't have it and if you aren't willing to take the time to setup an account to protect yourself...well...you kinda are screwing yourself. =)

Well I called Jason and he just let me know that he was still having trouble cashing my internation money-order. However, he assured me that he was going to take care of it this weekend. He said h has it all wrapped up in a box and ready to go. We'll see what happens.

This assumes that all sellers would be universally seen as ******, which isn't true. The honor system here is that people will come through on their word most of the time and consciously make up for it when they don't. When people fail that honor system, this is what happens. It's not right to blame the buyers unless they've been burned by someone notorious for scamming people or they walk right into an obvious scam. Money orders make enough sense to work here. I have proof that I paid for something. It appears that Jason does not have proof that he sent me that something. Simple enough.

As posted above, this user apparently has a previous history of selling issues, thus my reference. The linked thread is recent, however with the loss of many, many GGBG threads this week there is no telling how many others there were that are no longer in the database.

I believe I posted a thread about him, then this one popped up, and you're right, there's no telling how many others beside us. It could be dozens, it could be zero. We standard users can't be held responsible for mod mistakes.

What he is attempting to do is educate others on the down side of using a money order. It's just like sending cash, there is not alot you can do about it. Atleast with a paypal account you sometimes have a chance.

I'm just curious if the seller requested a money order?

What RX7 doctor said. At least use a payment method that gives you a small chance of recovering your money if a transaction goes bad...paypal for instance (even though I hate it). Paying cash/MO is just asking for trouble IMHO.

Well Jason sent me a PM yesterday that he finally got my Money Order cashed, but he had to go to a huge post office in the big city to get it done. He requested my address again and let me know he would be shipping it ASAP. We'll see what happens. I have hope.
