It is often easier to offer people solutions from the outside looking in than when you are directly involved. I understand your feelings about wanting the disk. If you firmly feel that way then you have to do what you have to do.

That being said, if you can step back for a moment...perhaps consider this might be the best offer you are going to get and work with Roller to make sure this guy never sells on the forum again.

You gotta do what you gotta do and it always saddens me to see someone in a situation like this. Good luck.

nah, hes done this to way too many people. im done dealing with his pathetic life.
ive been conducting business on this forum since 2006, and not once had a problem, thats because i have morals, and care about my reputation, eddie obviously doesn't, and im done dealing with him
he, at this point, is to issue me a 165$ refund so i can purchase a new disk, instead of waiting for him. i have texted him several times, and still no reply about my refund......

from the sound of him and his past dealings i would take the offer and consider it a loss. not as if anyone wants to take a loss but sometimes you gotta take what you can get.

hopefully he isn't allowed to sell here anymore. once shame on you, twice shame on me. everyone deserves a second chance but he sure blew that one, if it was in fact the shop that screwed up the disc then he should be collecting from them, not from you. but from all the stories we've heard from him they sound to be just that, stories.

so, the resolution to this thread was i had to purchase a new disk myself, eddie no longer returned texts, and now avoids everyone even in socal.

I remember you and Eddie agreeing to meet at Seven Stock a month ago via text, where he offered to refund you the $165 in person and you agreed.

He isnt a thief or out to make pennies off people.

He opened his doors to you and let you crash here at no cost for 2011 Seven Stock and even almost got you laid at a party he had cause he wanted to show you a good time in So Cal. You called his GF a bitch and were acting totally inappropriate but not once did he mention it or make you feel uncomfortable.

I spoke to him about the matter and the simple fact is that regardless of what he did for you, you wanted to trash talk him. he is going to pay you, a little later than sooner but he will.

He got banned before he could even get a word in but its cool.

So just remember that just cause people run into delays, personal or non, there is an excuse for everything. It all depends on how you wanna take it.

and, the whole thing about sevenstock, he never showed, typical. i caught wind that he was there for a sec, but certainly never tried to fix the situation

My brother bought a lexus ls400 from him about the same time.. 6-8 months ago...Same situation i had delt/bought from him before and felt he was an honest guy...My brother was strapped for cash and needed wheels to commute to huntington beach for work...Went out there, ended up pickin up the car that just needed a "tranny solenoid" and had no problems other than that....We got it home an hour drive and it was puking transmission fluid all over the driveway....

Never got the Title, that was "on the way" to his house because he just paid dmv fee's..Never returned phone calls...

So i ended up having to pick up the bill for my brother and get him another car..

You know, since youre claiming Eddie is so trustworthy, I'm certain you have no problem at all footing the full bill and then getting Eddie to reimburse you. 100% irrelevant. Eddie entered into a binding agreement, everything else is outside that agreement. THAT is the way it is. I dont care if he slapped Eddie's momma while riding her like a donkey--the fact is Eddie took this man's money and promised to deliver. This is NOT an acceptable excuse to keep someone hanging all this time.

And yet, Eddie still chose to do business with him, didnt he? Thats on Eddie, and no one else.

I banned him myself, on 20 July of this past year. The sale that rsulted in his ban took place over six months prior to this. How the hell much warning do you think he needed other than multiple bad feedback threads about him? He logged in here plenty, he knew about the complaints. He chose to ignore them.
he had MORE than enough time to "even get a word in". He chose not to. This thread opened in the beginning of June...he was banned a month and a half later. And this is hardly the first time Eddie has had to be told about how his selling practices sucked:

From this point on, if you dont know what youre talking about in here, dont talk. That first thread alone that I linked has plenty of examples of your roomate lying his *** off. That isnt a stand-up guy in any sense. He said he had a death in the family...he said he didnt even have time to send a text or call. He claimed he was too busy that he did not even get on the forum. But at the same time, he posted on facebook one day that he loved lazy days, "just watched three movies in a row". He claimed he didnt have time to do anything, but he was chatting with friends about being invited to bars, and posting at 7:30 in the morning about how he was just getting home, and what a cool time he had. The guy's full of ****. he claimed that the wheels he was supposed to ship out were packed and ready to go......but then he took his car to a photoshoot with the same wheels on them. Yes, thats right--a PHOTOSHOOT...he was so busy that he couldnt manage a simple phone call or text message, but he found the time to prep his car and bring it to a photoshoot, then brag about it and post pics on facebook.

Now, do yourself a favor, and shut the hell up already. The last time someone tried to speak up in defense of this guy, it was magnus--and now, magnus is the starter in this very thread--the guy that he spoke for last time is now the same guy that ripped him off too.

That is the problem--he has an excuse for everything.

Heres the deal. He had warnings stemming from three separate threads, between 2/11 and 7/12. Thats a year and five months. If you really want to pretend that he was "banned before he could get a word in", then suit yourself. The rest of us will stick to reality.
