Glad everything is being taken care of...But after all the name calling and bad mouthing, all it took was $100 and an alternator to settle everything? Seems very over dramatic to me Aaron?

Done business w/ both with no issues.

I think Aaron was just stewing over the fact that someone sold him bad rotors and finally decided to let the world know. That's cool and it certainly is known now.

Glad you guys worked it out

i think most people would be irritated if something like this happened and it wasted your time, at least people know that both parties are being taken care of.

Like fritts said.... I feel like anyone would have done the same in my situation. It was the fact that the deal to make-up the incident was incomplete that truly pissed me off. Other than that....i'm easy to please, 100 bucks and that alternator and I consider carlo good as new. By the way he already sent the 100

starting to think the other way now, he was rather impatient when i talked to him. (Aaron that is, keep in mind i was the one approached with a offer for trade)

if you don't think you're getting what you paid for then tell the person straight up rather than jerking them around. don't tell me we got a deal then tell me the next day that you just ordered a rotating assembly from a opponent shop and that you basically have half the motor sold when the day before we had a deal set to build a motor for the engine parts in exchange. it just makes you look bad and i want that hour+ i spent typing and calling for estimates back.

opportunist? maybe, if you lead several people on until you get the deal you think fits best you could be called that. just glad i didn't waste my time packaging the parts to send out for balancing or order the ALS seals for the build because i would be more than a little irritated to have you change your mind the next day, and that is why i take deposits and or material hold of parts as collateral.

something to the effect of "sorry but i found a better deal" or "thank you for going out of your way in trying to work something out" would have went leaps and bounds rather than me sitting here annoyed that i wasted my time. even though it happens ALOT, eventually i get tired of the bullshit.

i'm just curious who would spend over $3k on a 20B e-shaft and rotor housings or how the atkins rotating assembly is going to make your 13B build cheaper, i doubt you will walk away more ahead than you would have with our deal unless someone is just throwing money at you for a 20B core with 1/3 of it being junk and more costly to fix since it has been balanced it now WILL NEED TO BE balanced versus just using matched sets of stock rotors.

and that is my rant, because i work my *** off and barely make jack **** and when people jerk me around expect to get something in return.

I wasn't going to make such a trade without talking to you on the phone. 2 seperate occassions I asked you to call me, and nothing. Anyone would do the same thing.

Just out of curiosity Aaron, did you ever get a direct response regarding the apparent rotor detonation?

I don't intend to draw this situation out, given both parties have fortunately come to a fairly amicable solution. But I'd imagine I'm not the only individual left wondering about this specific aspect of the matter.

Even though it got taken care of I would never want to go through that and since it seems that mannykiller is easily satisfied, I on the other hand would not be. Im happy theres this buying and selling feedback forum so I know who to buy from and who to stay away from. On bewtews side, im glad he stood up like a man and made it right for mannykiller.

Basically Aaron you still got screwed, you still didn't get your stat gear in the end. Nobody wants to man up and admit it. HE is trying to make it right by sending you little parts here and there... now he is trying to sell his 20b FD so who knows what the buyer of that car is going to get into. I won't do any business with him because of this incident. I'm not trying to start any thing just calling it how I see it. just my .02

GREAT News everybody... ALL the IRONS That were supposed to be given to me on the basis that the rotating assembly wasn't in the condition I was told it was in. ARE Garbage. I Sent the motor to a friend in texas and he said Step wear is far past the Nitrited surface. Only 2 of the housings are salvageable...and NO they are not Dowel Pinned if that was what they were supposed to be. Now I'm pissed, because I spent 450 dollars to ship a bunch of Garbage. This is by far the worst thing that has happened to me when dealing with car parts in my Life. Absolutely Effing unbelievable the nerve this guy has. Thanks for the FD alternator that wsa dropped in a bucket of grease and the Hundred dollars you refunded me.

Geez...

Have you measured the O-ring depth to see if you can maybe lap them and have them
re-Nitried?

He said he's going to chime in on here... But we talked about having them lapped but he said lapping them to a safe depth wouldn't fully remove some of the deeper step wear.. Re-nitriting them hasn't been discussed just yet. This is an absolute Nightmare.

Which 2 does he think are salvageable? If the thick center is still good, you may be out of the woods with a set of cosmo Re sideplates.. Which are not to hard to source.. Most likely cheaper than have all the work done on the 20b plates to make them useable again...

Only 2 of the "housings" are salvageable. None of the Plates are useable in their current condition...with the Thick Center plate being in the worst condition of them all. Just got off the phone with my builder... Getting them lapped and the re-nitrited was quoted at 700...but thats only if they are even able to be repaired. And on top of that...the cost of shipping there and back.. were looking easily at another 1500.00 Just to have useable Plates. One one of the housings might be able to be refreshed as mazdatrix... but a nic in the other housings looks excessively deep..and with all my research I wouldn't even send it out to them because i'm sure they'd say it was beyond repair.

Maybe if they can save it... we'll just have the center plate lapped and re nitrited and source the cosmo re side plates. Either way, Bewtew "Carlo" did me one over. And I'm a pretty easy going person but this has all but exhausted me.

$1500.00 to save the sideplates is not worth it..

Take the thick center, measure the O-ring groove, if you have enough depth, lap both sides, then re- Nitried.

Source a good set of cosmo Re plates $450-600.00

Have the minor machine work done on the front plate so that you can use it in a 20B build..

and them have the port work done..

All in all should come out cheaper than 1500.00

Dont forget the rotors jap and that = more$
one rotor housing has a nick in it that will play a badd roll on the apex seal.
1 side housing where the motor mounts to it the cast is broke off!
The pinned motor lol the holes look to be done with a dremmel .Egg shaped that defeats the purpose .This process must be done correctly for a reason!
The mid housing the thick one need to be lapped and renitrated and the rest of the side housings are garbage!
