one scam should be enough.. unfortunately there is some leniency in this forum for scammers..
youd have to be a repeat offender and have had a lynch mob to get someone banned from the marketplace..
got scammed by imtiaz and he is still allowed to sell here..

well hopefully he will come and explain himself. he is one of our last and best rotary importers left and i personally do not know what i would do for some of those hard to find rotary parts without spending thousands extra for new parts.

this does not excuse anything however, even though i have always gotten prompt and up front deliveries from him even through third parties who order and send them to me directly for their builds.

 

Sorry amp, but this simply isn't true. You weren't scammed, thus he is still selling here. It was a deal gone sour and you're understandably unhappy about it.

Now people like Japan2La, that is unnacceptable, if he knew the shipment was coming in he should have just told us so we could look elsewhere and not string us along and ruin his reputation here, He should be banned for this. He has taken over 4k from 2 members that have been around for a while, banned of course after he explains himself and we get our money back.

I'll let you guys know when anything changes. Hopefully they process the refund soon. I've decided to have my existing engine fully re-built and street ported, so whoevever buys my car when it gets listed will get a nice upgrade

Funny thing you said that got_hp, I have a streetported block in my garage that I was planning on taking to Banzia to get rebuilt since they are about 45 min from my house, to bad my dumbass rolled the dice with Japan2La. Shoulda just done Banzia in the first place.

Well, Paypal finally refunded my money.

But even though I eventually got my money back, that doesn't give me back over $1k in additional rental car fees due to his lies, and hours upon hours of my own time wasted trying to resolve this.

There was no response from Japan2LA about anything.... IMO he should definitely be removed from the forum so he does not hurt any more members of our community.

 

We will see if I get paid back, paypal denied it the first time due to his bank. so we will see.

Not your fault man... I had already purchased two smaller in-expensive items from him in the past without issue and he was a forum vendor so I thought it would be ok. There's always a risk dealing with any shop, whether they're online or local, you never really know if someones going to do what they promise.

 

Forgot to post this but he refunded my money last week.

 

I was going to get mt t2 swap from him. But i eneded up getting it from jspecmotors for better deal and the engine was in excellent condition.

 

Still no 2168$ refund on my end, hopefully it comes this week.

 

I've never had a good experience with Japan2LA. The first time I thought it was a fluke since everyone was so happy with him, so I tried a second time. The second time was the exact same as the first. I never received confirmation of payments, he ignored my PM's for weeks at a time and I never got a straight answer. Even after all of that, he would still be extremely defensive and try to make it MY fault. No thanks.

I hope you both get righted and we can all turn our business to another distributor that is honest and has good business practice. Maybe we can talk FDnewbie or Goodfella into importing motors.
