i bought a s4 alternator with a dual belt pulley from this fellow, i paid $50 for the part shipped. I paid 9/25, He said it was shipped 9/26, I never recieved it, seller said he would refund the money today if it "didnt show up", well it didnt. He did give me his phone number, and i have been texting with him the past week letting him know that it hadnt showed up and today he told me he was gonna refund it, and the last text i recieved was "im refunding it now" and still has not happened. i sent him a text an hour later with a ??? and he still has not responded...

No tracking info was provided, I asked him why he wouldnt put tracking on the box and his response was "it was extra". I dont know what they charge for tracking on a package at usps in socal, but here its .75 at the post office and to me its worth every penny. Heck i paid $20 just for shipping when it could have been thrown in a $11 flat rate box and had free tracking, and print the label right off the computer.... but whatever

I just opened a case with paypal, so hopefully i can see my $50 back, i guess im just trying to say be careful when buying from this guy and make sure he puts tracking on your package.

I cannot stand when parts are shipped without tracking numbers. Its such a hassle without it. Thats why i usually tell them to provide a tracking number when shipping me parts. Good luck with everything.

 

well its 2 days later, i finally got a text back from this guy... He is now saying it will be refunded in full and that the post office is gonna let him know by tuesday if i really recieved the package or if im trying to scam him... he also told me hes gonna prosecute me if im trying to scam him.....

I had a long reply but basically said that this whole situation is ridiculous and id rather recieve my part be happy than have to deal with this.. asked him again why he wouldnt put tracking on the package... asked why hes threatening me with prosecution, and why he said he would refund it friday and never did. No response after that... I opened a case on paypal and his response was that he refunded the money. which he never did.

I am a straight forward guy, the few that have bought off me and i have bought from have had no issues on this site, 350+ transactions on ebay with not 1 negative feedback.

He's selling an FC Alternator. He doesn't have the money to go after you. Typically those who threaten it can't afford to...those who can do it...just do it.

yea it made me laugh because he also said before what a honest and fair guy he was and he would never screw over anyone and if it didn't come, it didn't come and he would refund it... I have never had that attitude after sending a package, I always use tracking though, so I can be like sorry still on its way.I don't just say right away that I'll lose the part plus $, to me that was the first hint that he didn't send it.

 

so.....this guy doesnt put tracking on the box, but then claim that he's gonna have the USPS track it to make sure you really didnt get it?? um, yeah.....

I'm gonna have myself a little chat with him....

 

if thats possible, id love him to do that so he can have usps tell him the same thing im telling him, it didnt show up, or you never sent it.

update:

I finally recieved the package today, he did ship it when he said. sept 28

But the alternator was thrown into a box with no packaging, the box was twice the size of the alternator, and because of the weight it had destroyed the box, i had to pick it up at the post office because they would not deliver it to the house... They said that it had fallen out of the box at some point, and lost somewhere along the line... The box did have tracking on it, so either the seller did know where it was and that something had happened at some point, or he was just that careless that he didnt keep it, or notice that he did put tracking on it.

so in the end whatever, im happy i got it, and prey that its still good, there was some minor knicks on it.. but ill live.
