While I have seen Gonzz post before and believe he isn't as bad a guy as these people are making him out to be, I do believe that when something is advertised as "shipped", it should be insured by the seller, unless specified IN THE FS THREAD that insurance is not included. PMs can be altered when you post them on here for everyone to see, a thread post can not. And as I said before, shitty packaging is just plain lazy. If that is the case and the seller knows he packed an item like ****(that insurance won't cover), a refund should be in order. The fact that Gonzz says he sent blue assemblies, and the thread starter is calling them black, seems kind of fishy to me... someone is lying...

I'm not attempting to hop into the negative energy that's very obvious in this thread, I don't need to be told how much of an idiot or loser I am from either side, I'm just stating what I believe good business ethics to be.

On that note, maybe some of you should take into consideration that one of these guys has been a member since 2002, with mulitple previous sales...

Again, the insurance is not the issue. Insurance, as already stated, will not address a claim when the cause of damage is improper packaging. The perception by the buyer, well, I agree with you on that part, but I also think that sellers need to be telling their buyers if they are not including insurance, for the same reason. Both sides should be covering all the bases, and in this case neither side did.

however, once again, this does not address the fact that gonzz told this seller one thing once the problem was discovered, and then changed his story entirely to favor his side of the argument later on. That's dishonest, and in the interest of fairness, no matter what you think of gonzz, there should be no dishonesty in such a transaction, from either side. That is inexcuseable in my book.

As far as the insults, take a good hard look at the way this thread has gone. Do you see anyone insulting gonzz in the manner he is trying to trash others? Anyone bringing his parents into the mix? What about what he owns? Anyone? There is a reason why I dont follow suit there, and thats because this thread is here for a purpose. Talking about someone's dad isnt it. I point-blank addressed a specific thing he did and asked him to address it--would YOU trust someone you didnt personally know with your money in the future if you saw them handling such a point as poorly as he is?

There is no need for that **** and there never was--NOWHERE did I pull that garbage on him. In the end, everyone can see the lie and how he refuses to address it.

On a final note, with all due respect, this forum has progressed to the point where a person's past reputation is not indicative of their future reliability. More and more we have seen people who were trusted sellers, turn around and screw someone. Hey, it sucks but it happens. And in this case, some honesty would have gone a long way. Too bad for him that insulting anything under the sun is more important than addressing the issue like a man.

I don't believe that people just "turn bad". Where I can see a person making errors once or twice, I highly doubt he just woke up and said "I've got a good reputation now, let me see how many people I can **** over".

While I'm not calling TAG a liar, take in mind that nobody knows him, he's been here for a few months, and people who know Gonzz are actually standing up for him. TAG, as I said, this is not singling you out, I am just pointing out the fact that you are new to the forums. That said, just because 1 person is new and the other is a "veteran"(lol), doesn't make the new person wrong OR a liar... And all that started in a thread that took place LAST YEAR. I have had no contact with this guy ever since....and before I even posted in this one, he was acting like a little bitch in someone else's thread. So, again, when it comes to respect, it should be easy to see why I dont have any for him. He's still butt hurt because I called him on **** last year?? WOW....some people really need to get a clue.

And no, I dont think that he intentionally set out to screw anyone. I never even came close to saying as much. The problem I mentioned is that he made a claim to cover his ***, and that turned out to be a lie. A person who genuinely feels he did nothing wrong will not feel the need to lie to cover his ***....dont you agree?

 

I gotcha....but for the sake of saying, I never took this off the subject. The fact that gonzz got caught lying is directly relevant to this thread, because that happened in this transaction.

 

Where did he make a claim that was a proven lie? This isn't a sarcastic question, I just don't feel like reading all of these pages again to find out where it was he lied about something and was called out on it, I must have missed it.

 

I have dealt with Gonzz before, but not as a buyer, as a seller. He bought some shirts from me in order to raise money for our dearest friend GuitarJunkie, which passed away. I also met Gonzz in person at the funeral and he seemed like a real cool guy. He also donated a lot of money in return for some decals in Dave's memory so I can assure you that Gonzz wouldn't try to rip someone off for $140, which isn't even that much. That said, everyone else here talking **** should just stop because it seems like no one really knows the TRUE FACTS about what's going on. It seems like people are just coming in here and trying to argue about something to make themselves seem better or something. And for all those people, why get in an argument with someone over something that doesn't even involve you? Stay out of their business if you really have nothing good to say.
