Stories like this are all too common and are the reason I stopped letting shops work on my car.

I wish I had known how professional Rotary Performance/RX7.com is relative to the competition, I might still have a rotary.

Good luck to those affected and thank you Howard C. for doing the right thing for the owners.

any chance the original owners abandoned them is why?

still seems odd that your contact wouldn’t want them back regardless. Did they owe you anything over it?

I have a hard time seeing why two engines would be abandoned at the onset of them being sent to Howard for the rebuilds. I mean whoever they belonged to may have lost hope and given up on them by now, thus "abandoning" the thought they would ever be returned, especially four years later. But, they were still worth something if they were sent out for rebuilds. Having read some of the unscrupulous dealings written about Elite and their noticeable silence on the negative publicity makes one wonder that the veracity of the claims are probably true.

I would be surprised if the original owners came forward. I hope the loss of their engines didn't make them throw in the towel and leave the community over a potentially negative experience with that shop, but I suspect they have.

Dropping in my 0.2cents. Can confirm Sal/ elite is nothing but a **** show. I wouldn’t trust them with a lawnmower. Sal and his lackeys did nice screw job on my 7. From cut fan relays to broken nuts, hacked wires, Stealing parts off my car. Don’t forget about the over charges! Happy when they go outta business it’s truly what they deserve. Can’t say it enough.

wow sounds like a common problem in our community, i would have had no idea, thanks OP. i had a very terrible experience with a rotary shop once which cautioned me from letting my car go out of my hands for engine work, tuning etc. ever again.

I havent recently logged in due to this crazy **** happening in the world but ive been sitting on some gold of information that i been wanting to share with the rotary community. Due to the high possibility of legal actions that could take place i have to be extremely careful on how i release this informative info. I have to make it clear this is not in any shape or form meant to defame anymore. But to simply inform the rotary community. So for you veterans that have read my post i ask of you to help me on finding a safe way to publish this. Could i just write another post in a way of just informing rather than bashing?? Give me your input on this. Id greatly appreciate it, thanks to you all

It's a review of a good/service. No one is going to take legal action against anyone for leaving a review. You are entirely within your right to leave a review. THEY can call whatever they want but it is what it is. Speak freely #america

If you have anything to add , I wouldn’t hesitate. If they are avoiding contact, or did questionable work. You have freedom of speech. It’s a review of your experience bad or good. People can draw their own conclusions...

If you had a particular experience, you are allowed to share it. There's nothing anyone can do about it, even if they send you a bullshit lawyer letter. Clink the link above to read about G Monsen pushing PFS **** in after they tried to intimidate him. What you can't do is make baseless accusations based on heresay.

Update

Hello Everyone,
I've been following this thread and keeping an eye on Elite Rotary Shop for awhile now and wanted to share an update. I was one of their/Sal's victims (they ruined my RX8).

Currently, there are 2 pending lawsuits against Elite Rotary Shop totaling ~$40,000.
The lawsuits are public record and you can search/find them here Full Case Electronic Docket Search | Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County
- For the Division, select Civil and Search for them by Name

Their Facebook Rating tanked from a 4.7 to a 3.3, forcing them to remove the 'review' feature on their page

I'm not sure if they were brigaded or if Facebook just deleted a bunch of their fake/bot positive reviews.

It's possible that they are fleeing/have fled Illinois.
The latest activity on the later lawsuit says "SUMMONS RETURNED - N.S. REASON: MOVED" and Elite removed their Schaumburg, IL address on their FB page.

I hope this brings some of you piece of mind to finally see Elite Rotary Shop suffering some repercussions for their actions, because it sure as hell feels good for me.

Thank you this gives me hope. To pursue my civil suit against Elite again. This crook needs to stop with his false claims and over selling his capabilities.
Thank you
