Thumbs down A Spec Tuning Transmission Brace

Ive done business with them in the past and havent had any problems wth them. I still dont have any problems with them except for there product..........

I orderd a Transmission Brace from them, received, tried to install it and no Cigar. The only two holes that lined up were the two transmission bolts. The rest which were for the side plates couldnt line up for jack! I tried and tried and pried and tried everything i could to get it to fit but it just wouldnt. I didnt take pictures but i should have. But just a word to everyone esle who orders the brace, dont! Unless you have or know how to weld because unfortunately it has to be redone. What im going to do is cut the side brackets off, bolt them up first and then weld them back attaching them to the center section where they bolt to the transmission. It sucks because if your gonna buy something that is suposed to bolt up then it shouldnt have to be modified but this piece does. Maybe i just got a shitty one but just letting you guys know be acreful when you order the brace because you will have to modify it. And ive been trying to call them to let them no about it but no luck on picking up the phone.

Did you try emailing them or PMing them on here? PM "Zero R" he'll take care of you. They are quite often way too busy to answer the phone. I'd hold off on modifying it, until you get a hold of them. Whatever warranty the part may have will go bye bye if you decide to modify it before getting a hold of them.

I believe I had just emailed you about this they can be a pain to install and as strange as it sounds a bit confusing. It is easy(believe me I know) to try and put it on wrong as it looks like it can go on a few different ways. One, make sure the car is jacked up from four points evenly, this insures the car chassis is not twisted. Two is, it may not fit at all if the car has been in a accident of some sort. I have only had two previous customers say it worked better by jacking the car up unevenly. Though neither knew if the car had a previous accident I can only assume that was the case. They are all made on the same heavy gauge steel fixture so the piece itself should fit just fine. If you want mark the piece so that you know it is yours I will pay to have it shipped here fit it on a car and take a pic then send it back if you wish I am that confident it will fit with a little work.

No dude its cool. The big problem is the weld. On the driver side where the two 12mm bolts go through its doesnt sit flush because the welds are so big, that and the passenger side ones dont line up. No my car has never been hit. Ever. I bought it from my buddy who bought it from the original owner of the car and no accident what so ever. The car was on a lift at my best friends shop. Something told me to bring my camera but no big deal dude. Before i modify it i will take pictures to show you how it looks before modifying it and after. But i know what it is, its that weld for the driver side. Its to clumpy. But i'll fix it.

It was kind of hard to install, but nowhere near the level that you're making it out to be. I can't use it now as my exhaust has changed, but I'd been using it for a few years and it was great. I've removed it and replaced it several times and it wasn't difficult at all.

I Have one i installed about 4 months ago and found it easy once i loosend the motor mount bolts and started all the bolts without tightning them till all were started. Motors can settel or be tweeked and this throws of the allingment. Good luck with the install!
