Atkins Rotary cold blooded

I don't post much but had to give a ***** you to josh over at atkins, don't worry I told him the same over the phone....The problem started about 3 weeks ago when I purchased a pressure tester and 13b baffle plate. Items arrived baffle did not fit and pressure tester didn't work.

Called atkins told them the problem and found out gsl-se front cover 13bt is different from second gen length wise and send in the tester so they could test it. So they get the parts and see the tester does not work do to the valve in the stem and it should be hard for me to find a -se baffle plate (pinnapple sells them but site was down). O.k well return my money then, josh says he needs to speak with his accountant over a $123.XX order for restocking fees. I'm like I don't want to deal with these people anymore just send me the now fixed tester and all of a sudden a gsl-se plate. A week and a half go by no parts I call and its like oh yeah I need to talk to my accountant...

I get upset I'm like atleast send it next day, He does and i get some cheap *** gauge on my tester from like the dollar store compared to the liquid filled cool one I paid 60.00 bucks for. Of course no poodle in me I call again and tell him I don't want this **** and what happened to mine he says we sold it that same day and do I want to send that one back. Hell yeah I tell him but I'm really not, so he can talk to his accountant for a couple weeks **** him and dan I tried to resolve it with dan and got sent back to punk *** josh.....Cheap bastards.

I just had to vent I'm over it now back to the car. Oh and I attached a pic for those that have the gauge all my friends and I liked and see what they gave me and I know it was on purpose.

This is another perfect example of how not to solve your problems. You really think somebody is going to help you when you call them a bitch? If this was written a little better and the actions conducted a little more maturely, I might take your word for it. But now, your story has little to no merit, IMO.

I did not call him a bitch in the beginning. I was very nice to these people, I sent the parts back not even concerned if they would take care of shipping. It did not start until I asked if while his parts were in transit back to him with tracking number, could he send the correct parts... reply was what if i send a empty box....I asked if he could hold my credit card # and if the box arrived empty charge me again.....Was told he had to speak with someone and would call me back before the end of the day...Never heard from him called back a couple days later said forget it refund my credit then it was I need to speak to my accountant...2 days later.. you get my drift...



I was very frustrated and did not care for their practices by now. So happy it was only 123 bucks I said to myself watch something happen when i get this stuff (baffle won't fit, or exactly what happened) and Im going to give a piece of my mind...

And good fella you know nothing about me, I wish I could buy all my rx parts locally then I could call him a bitch to his face. It takes ALOT to get me mad and I was/am way over mad, he and I are lucky it wasnt local...

You guys say what you want ..same situation= same outcome from me....

I think it is safe to say that it's not how a vendor treats you when they get your order correct but when there's a hick-up.But It would be a good thing to hear from the vendor,especially a sponsor of this forum.

I would like to hear from them myself. I also told him this was a order to try them out and if everything went good I would continue purchase. So of course they and rb are off my list.....


Thank god for billy (respeed to date has been the only business that even after they get your money, months down the road you still feel valued) And I don't know where you guys buy your parts but for what I pay I expect some TACT...

Oh and last but not least forgot to mention soon as I called back after the cheapo and asked simply what happened to mine( in one of our convo's he stated your getting back yours fixed) He said I'm through dealing with you... then I went off... so just imagine if it was you, You nice so kind hearted people you.. I must be the grinch

i dont know its not like Dan or his son , he has taken care of me and thru the phone he sounds pretty straight forward . He was nice to me and never seem like a dick. Maybe its the way you came about the situation.

did you let him know atleast about this thread because they are on this forum very often and it sucks to start a flame on someone and they dont even know

Never had any issues w/ Atkins......well except the whole magazine thing but that was many years back. Many happy customers later they have earned the respect and trust of the many of us on here.

Ever try resolving the issue in a mature fashion directly with Dan Atkins himself. I have always found him to be patient and professional to talk to over the phone!

ok here is what happened..
this guy ordered a coolent pressure tester from me and an oil baffle plate

lets start with the baffle plate
he ordered it for a 86-91 13B not telling Josh that he changed the front cover to a 84-85 SE.. Meaning that is a diffrent plate and wont fit the 86-91 block as he ordered it for..

on the tester
We put it all together and did not know that the schrader valve was leaking.
so when he calles me {Dan in this call} he is telling me that this whole order is worng and he is sending it back for a refund or exchange, whatever as he was not that clear on what he wanted me to do..

when parts come back for whatever reason we ask you to put a note in the box so we know what to do with the parts.

So the parts came back and we fixed it in the mean time Josh was talking to this guy; First tester was sold as I thought this was a done and closed deal..

When this guy called on a where his parts were at, we sent out {overnight} another new tester and a day later he calles screaming at josh saying f this and f you and f your company and your a little bitch(keep in mind that the first conversation that josh had with this guy the customer told him that he had been banned from buying parts from a few other shops and nobody could seem to help him.).. Well Josh gets to a point just like me when this happends I will tell you to send it back and you will get a refund and we are done..

When stuff like this comes up and I did not take the order I will send you the the guy you talked to as I dont know what was told over the phone..

wrong all Wrong what I said was this was a test of your store since i will ban a store quickly like i did others.....

Why did I have to call to get my parts shipped out---thought you could keep the money and the parts?

you gave up the phone so quick to josh like you did not want to deal with it- now why are you responding and not josh?

after 2 weeks I've calmed down now and accepted the cheapo you sent. And anyone I know personally will never buy from you again so a win win for both of us...also you should state on your site what 13b the baffles work for.

I was just upset that your so cheap then tried to keep the money and the parts what you hoped I would vanish....

Im done your making my blood boil twice.. tell the truth let it all out

Josh and I talk back and forth on clients like you and if there is a massive problem we give eacher the highlights on what is going on and so forth...

as for Josh not replying to you in this he did under my post and with my permission to do so...

on the baffle plates you have to go into a GEN Specific in order to find it.
I also cant help if you cant ask Questions before you buy as I get these Questions all the time on my E-bay store & online store, if this item will fit my eng with XXX parts on it all the time..

With me replying to you I do the forums more than josh does as he is always working to make my internet store better & better plus making it more user frendley...

Also keep in mind that there are OTHER SHOPS reading this and when I see posts like this about other shops I try to use Caution when dealing with clients like you ..

On a last note Josh tried to help you and when you get abusive with either of us there is NEVER a win for either side...


Doc, if you would please lock this thread as this guy and me are now done with this problem..

Never got a answer to why you guys did not ship my items? guess thats not important and I got mad for no reason just to be mean.

I really don't care who sees this if I did I would not have started it.

You are trying to brush this off as all my fault and anyone with common sense would see different. So like I said win win you got your money and I got to vent.. Now Im done
