On sevens day I placed an order via the interwebs for a AST delete/filler neck from Rotary Werks. I did also pay to have an extra bung welded to it, so I knew it wasn't getting shipped right out. I called about 10 days later just looking for an update and got radio silence. No response to phone calls , emails or social media. At the 3 week mark, I filed a PayPal dispute. I certainly did not expect to have the part in hand by then, but I did expect at least a return phone call or email.

At this point, Eric is posting on social media, but not responding to his actual customers. It wasn't until I publicly replied to one of his Instagram posts that he responded to my messages. He was very apologetic, and seemed sincere. He offered to refund me immediately if I chose, or could send the part out the next day. He even sent me a video of my part. I accepted his apology and cancelled my PayPal dispute. He promised a tracking number the next day and delivered on that promise. Awesome.

Fast forward almost two weeks, and still no part. He populated a tracking number to shut me up and never actually shipped anything. I've been trying to reach him since, yet he continues to ignore my request for a refund, even though I can see he continues to browse social media.

Eric is either grossly incompetent or incredibly dishonest. He could've even told me, "Hey man, it's gonna be a couple months", and I'd have been ok with that. Since I cancelled my PayPal dispute, (foolish on my part for trusting him) I can't re open it. This means my only recourse is to sue him in small claims court, which is ridiculous. However, thats exactly what I'll do if he doesn't refund me.

 

Woow I almost purchased one of those too. Glad I didn't, I went with asrt delete aluminum piece.
Some rotary shops in miami are garbage at customer service and honesty.. preaty sad..
I know for first hand experience.

 

oh wow, I actually bought one of those last year. I can't speak for your issue, but for what it's worth, I get compliments on that part all the time... looks great.

He did the exact thing to me.. I just waited to see if my item was shipped and monitored it for a month. I called into Paypal after the recomended time following a dispute with vendor and they just returned my money.. $165.00.. the guy is a crook and he's using Paypal to try to rip people off.. when I first complained to Paypal he called them back with that bogus shipping tracking number saying item is pending pick up and i guess he was trying to do the same to me.. Dont purchace anything from this guy hes a crook..

 

Wow! This guy is on a roll! Had the same thing happen last Yr. Was looking for the ast swirl pot, it was between Angel and RW. Browsed his website, said they were in stock, placed the order and nothing. Waited two days to reach out and made it clear if the item is not ready to ship as per his website , then give me my money back. Luckily he refunded my money.

Hm, I'm seeing a trend here.......

Hate to say it but i've counseled guys for many years now to never buy an FD from the Miami area. Maybe the same thing goes for their "shops?"

 

I eventually got my money back after bombarding his social media and making posts like this on here and Facebook. I don't know if he's a scam artist, but I am positive he is untrustworthy and a terrible businessman. In my 23ish years of this car stuff, there's only a couple places I'll never deal with again. This guy is one of them.

 

Wow! Very uncool, but being a longtime Miami resident, sadly, I'm not at all surprised.
Does anyone know of any good shop anywhere in Florida?!

I had first hand experience with Luis, its been a while though. He picked up my car in pieces from another **** shop where I got srewed over, like some of us.
I asked him to take apart the freshly assambled engine and do his work and bassically put my car back piece by piece. He went trough the engine with me and what it needed to be done then he gave me a price. He delivered what he promissed and I was happy to have my car back on the road.
Great man with outstanding moral and ethical principles.
He will tell you straight up what it will take to get what you want.

I'm sorry to hear that buddy. Hopefully it works out for you. If not, do NOT cancel your inevitable PayPal dispute. Lol
