pre-turbo injection
could someone explain why injection pre-turbo can cause turbo failure? If the w/m is properly atomized it seems like it would be fine or is there something im missing?

i do believe it was from POOR water atomization like big dropplets but it was over very long time on oem equip DD that that info came out there are many here running preturbo water with very good results and minimal if any 'wear/corrosion' on the compressor blades.

mind you i dont have it but i plan on doing it once i return from iraq this trip.

youd be surprised how much soldiers spend of thier own money keeping some of them running over there. i am USAF though and certain aircraft have used water injection since WWII except i do believe humnvee's are N/A.... MRAP's on the other hand i believe are turbo.
been there 6 times going on 7 4-5months at a time i cant wait to get back strange huh. so in other words in the last 6yrs ive spent 2+ there and for some reason cant wait to go back. anywho back on topic...
Id to pre water now but i dont have the time and i will be talking with dudemanownsanrx7 when i do he seems very willing to share with the commoners and thinks outsde the box of pay someone else tomake it go fast... i like it ask him about the pre turbo water hes going on a year+ now IIRC 500+hp 93 octain i hope to be clost to that on mine when i put the t66 + wter to mine

the theory is that the water or methanol corrodes your compressor blades over time. It was mentioned above that atomization makes all the difference. It's true. If you cheap out on the AI jets, you will pay for it. You want particles of AI, not droplets.
I have been running 50/50 for over 12k miles with absolutely NO sign of damage. I actually just checked about 2 weeks ago.
In my opinion, if I have to replace my compressor wheel every 5-8 years, it's worth it. I need the safe guard of both water and methanol at these power levels (running 20 + psi of boost on a rotary)

hmmm anyone know of the quality of Devil's Own? I have their AI progressive kit, but it's pre throttle body atm...wondering about moving it to preturbo in the future and aiming for more than 20 psi but that's future time..cuz I need to upgrade my microtech to a 3 bar or higher.
