meth mixture pick up
Hello all. I have been doing some drawing on how I am going to design my fuel surge tank for my FC (since I will be doing auto X and drifting ) and I have had fuel sloshing issues in the past. Well, I was wondering, do you guys have any issues with your meth mixture pickup as it is now? If you were to turn with a lot of G's do you think there would be a chance you could suck up air? If so, what have you done to prefent this other than just haveing your tank full 24/7?
I JUST now started thinking about this, but this is maybe my idea. Have a primary and secondary meth tank, one with a small pump and low level sensor inside (secondary), and one with just a low level sensor inside (secondary). When the primary tanks low level sensor turns on, it switches a relay to turn on the pump in the secondary tank that fills up the primary tank again till the sensor turns off (and will also turn on an LED to show you that the primary tank is getting low). Then after the secondary tank gets low its low sensor will trip turning on an LED or what ever you wish to happen when you are low on meth. With this setup you WOULDN'T HAVE to have both tanks close to each other, meaning you could have a small primary tank in the engine compartment or driver side fender area, and a large tank in the spare tire area in the rear.
Now, I know this makes the whole meth injection process considerably more complicated but it is my first quick idea to solve the problem. I welcome any and all comments good or bad.
Thanks

opps, sorry ment to say secondary and primary. The one with just the sensor (and now that I think about it, that one should have two sensors, one when it needs filling and one when it's almost empty.) is the primary.

alrighty, guess no one has any comments haha. Looks like I am just going to find a tank that has a cone shaped bottom and I should be good to go.

cut it to fit your tank
run a filter between the tank and the injector just in case

sound good?

Very interesting that is a completely different way of thinking about it, I like it. Now is this something I would fill my whole tank with or just put it on the sides?
Thank you for your help!

Is there any other ideas, or should I just not worry about the sloshing? I haven't really heard of anybody having any problems with their setup sucking up air in a race environment.

The -6 Earls filter I listed comes apart so you can check and clean the filter element if you are paranoid about the foam degrading. It's a nice feature and it give you peace of mind...
At the very least you should install some type of trap door or baffle system in the tank to prevent fuel sloshing...
