CDI Systems with Water Injection

Hey guys,

ive got a 12a half bridge T04R Microtech LT10s with the X4 box..

Im looking for a CDI system that i can run on this with a rice racing water injection kit.. I also have a 13bt auto in a early mazda which i would want to use it on when i relocate back to australia from London, UK..

Ive got a mate whos coming to the USA next week so looking at something from JEGS or Summit..

Is there in the Crane or MSD range that may work.. I dont mind if its Leading only CDI or Both...
I want some guidance as ive not used or bought a CDI system before.

Cheers

I use dual crane fireball hi-6 ignition boxes for leading and 4 crane lx-92 coils. It sucks crane is out of business now, maybe you might want to get msd because of that, I'm not sure. Anyways I use this stuff along with the same ecu setup you have and it works well.

DOnt touch either brands with a 10 foot pole. I TOLD YOU to use the DYNATEK UNIT.

dont waste your time with anything else.

Only other brand i would use is the crane units.

I have tested the dynatek units to 9.2:1 fuel mixtures with 650cc of water 25psi of boost and no missfire and only missing around 35hp.

my system,, 2 Crane HI6-2 boxes, and 4 Crane LX92 coils, plus a big CDI capacitor, to drive the box cdis.

complete setup was designed and installed at the Crane factory 5yrs ago, in daytona Fl,its a shame they went out of business.
i hope i wont need parts, because thet gettin hard to find NEW, used stuff could be questionable( like burned out)

Crane factory setup,ignition

pic of crane setup, iv had no breakup down to afr 9.9-10.
Crane hi6+2 box has 2 cdi in each box, so i have 4 actual cdis, and 4 coils, 10mm wires.
and a Microtech LTX8

You can run any leads you want.

We are using basic 5 dollar each top gun leads on my 700rwhp rx7.

I've been using the Autronic 500R. The M&W apparently is the same but half the size. I have had success with it and a noticable improvement over stock. I fire about 400cc's of -40 windsheild washer fluid and it can fire rich mixtures without issue.

Have not really seen anyone run any other ignition setups around here other then thewird once he installs his M&W. Local FD race car that we pit for has put in the M&W but we are running race gas and 18psi. No aux injection. Tuned by CHAG auto in montreal.

I have just installed the accel 300 digital cdi unit on my leading coil and man better than the that huge msd unit I had in there. It's actually the size of the microtech lt10 or maybe smaller. Sucker really sparks hot. Noticeable difference especially on boost after 5000 rpm compared to the msd unit. This on the same tune. The car really needs to be tuned though

yeh took the car out for cruise again and the arc2 is buzzin its head off.

just got off the phone from the tech guys in the USA and he said the only 2 reasons it would make the zap or ticking sound is if the main loom plug wasnt on properly which it is OR their is some solder issue inside and its arcing..

Going to send it to my mate whos running on here in the UK and get him to run it on his car..
