I'm just wondering what the minimum parts requirements would be to get E85 running nicely on a stock FD?

Probably just an ecu to tune it.

 

Will standard injectors and fuel pump be able to cope with e85?
And I assume the fuel lines and filters will need to be changed?

 

Unless you only want to run Half the HP, you will need bigger injector, with bigger injector you will need aftermarket fuel rails, high flow fuel pump, FPR, Filter, and Lines.

 

make sure the E85 is readily available in all your common areas, here in TN where I am theres very few in the areas i frequent

Because e85 requires 35 to 38% more fuel to be able to match gasoline power.

You will need some way of controlling the fuel and boost levels.
Do yerself a favor and get bigger injectors and a new haltech and fuel pump(s).
Your engine will last a lot longer on E85 too!

 

After searching the different threads regarding e85? What seems to be the clear cut injector cc and fuel pump lph for a stockish rx7? I've read Coleman's post about how 1000cc all around will only net roughly 290whp. Right now, I'm pushing 350rwhp on 91 and I'm only running e85 because of its property and availability locally.

 

If you are happy with 350 RWHP, stay where you are at....if you want almost twice that amount of HP, you can't do it on 91 safely.
Too many people have realized the benefits of E85 by making huge HP numbers over pump gas.
Can't do it on stock equipment.

 

agree with rxtasty57.... 450-400 can be tunned on pump safely..... unless your running high boost e85 is necessary

 

Power isn't exactly what I'm after but I do think the safety benefits are worth it alone for e85.

 

If you have a way of controlling the fuel, you could run it. You won't make as much power, but it won't detonate either.

Long shot here but.. did you ever find out what you were looking for? I'm also currently researching this and it's really annoying that everyone just gave their useless feedback but no one actually answered your questions. People need to stop being so pedantic... smh

 

Apologies, responded to the wrong thread.

 

I ended up going with FFE secondary rail with bosch 2200cc injectors, kept the stock 550s, replaced all rubber fuel line with e85 rubber line, fpr2000, 20micron fuel filter, walbro 460 fuel pump, adaptronic modular ecu. Need to hook up the flex sensor and it should be good to go.
