Hi Austin,

Can I ask what didn't seem to work? Did it cut the RPM while idling at least?

Guys, here's how it should look like when setting up launch control (attached):

1. First thing to check is if your MVSS is reading well / calibrated properly.
2. Tick the Launch Control Enable and choose if you want a fuel or ignition cut.
3. Choose "MVSS" if you're using the OEM speed sensor.
4. You can test if it's enabled if it's doing a rev limit at idle i.e. the MVSS in F2 reads 0kph or lower than the launch control speed cut-off.

5. If you want to have it a bit more advanced. You can use a wheel speed sensor reading the front (i.e. non-driven) wheels and connect this to SVSS1/SVSS2 in the ECU. You will then need to untick the "Use MVSS" option so that the ECU reads SVSS, and knows the true ground speed and not the speed of the wheels that is probably slipping (rear wheels).

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have further questions.

Thanks.

MarkG, I used that setup as well and the speed sensor is not picking up any signal. not showing any speed on the ecu guage but the dash speed is working properly. also what settings do you have the enrich and retard at as well?

mark,

I was following the anti lag video (
)

I also did the launch control rev limit, but I cut ignition not fuel and was getting wayyyy to much back fire and flames (like a bomb) so I stoped using it

Hi guys,

Smg944, hmm I guess the speed sensing circuit needs to be check first if you don't have a reading in F2. This won't prevent launch control from enabling, but the problem is we won't be able to disable it using the vehicle speed. The enrich/retard setting is not used with the 2-step, unless you want antilag. I think Austin (thanks mate!) just posted the antilag video.

Austin, when you were getting back fires, do you mean you're using the launch control cut alone and not antilag? Could it be that the unburnt fuel is igniting because of a very hot exhaust?

Thanks.

I also tried the anti lag setup as well. Still would not work? I followed the video as well. It seemed to be picking up the flat shift fine as I set that up and that was fine.

Hi Smg944,

Can you email me a copy of your ECU file please and I will test it on the bench for Antilag?

Thanks!

Hi Austin,

I think SteveG is having progress, but is just sorting his VSS sensor out.

You had yours working right? But the problem is it's popping loudly in the exhaust? I was thinking it could be unburnt fuel combusting inside a hot exhaust pipe if say you're using an ignition cut. Can I ask you to email your ECU file to tech@adaptronic.com.au please?

Thanks.

Any update with this?

I have exactly the same problem as smg944, I have no readings MVSS, so Launch Control is always on.
I have a Adaptronic Select (Plug in) in a RX8.... The dash works fine

Help....
