S4 PNP ECU Boost control option.

Just received my PNP S4 for my 1988 Rx7. I have the brand new designed Stage 3 S5 BNR turbo to replace my Turbonetics 60-1 and was considering using the twin scroll solenoid to drive my Haltech boost solenoid as the new S5 turbo does not require this output.

It was not recommended by adaptronic as they say it might be too slow. To me it is just a solenoid just like any other solenoid and should work fine. I thought the S5 controls boost through a similiar solenoid or is it different?

Can I use the stock Mazda solenoid in its original location driven by the adaptronic PNP. It would be such a nice plug and play option. No extra solenoid or wiring.

Opinions?

Will be interesting to see how well this adaptronic performs instead of my haltech and the performance of the new BNR turbo VS Turbonetics T04B 60-1 turbo.

How would the MAC valve be too slow? No way. Use it or the stock solenoid. Either will work.

I am an idot and should proof read what I write.

I want to use the adaptronic to drive the stock twin scroll solenoid to control boost. I have the complete rats nest installed and it plumbed like stock. Adaptronic suggested this would not work and to use my Haltech solenoid. (AKA MAC valve).

Thanks Chris for the response. I will use the stock twin scroll solenoid as the boost contol and see how that goes. Worst case I will need to run the MAC solenoid.
