Modular Series 8 Basemap
Hey guys
Went to fire the car up on the latest series 8 basemap and it didn't want to run.
ISC was buzzing really hard as well.
I noticed that in the outputs the ISC is set to 100 Hz
The stock FD ISC runs at 244 Hz
Hope this can help someone out!

If anything you need to tune the fuel map in its entirety. Just plugging in a basemap and running it indefinitely will for sure induce major engine failure with time.
If anything you want to move to a higher asynch gain to ensure you get plenty of extra fuel going in when a throttle transient is sensed and ensure extra sensitve throttle is turned off while also backing off any other sensitivity settings the ecu has related to transient throttle.
Then fully tune the fuel map. Predictable Map will be one of the last things you tune as its damn near impossible to do correctly or accurately without having a rock solid on target fuel map
The base map is not an excuse to drive the car without tuning it. Its a starting point so you can start the car and begin the tuning process.

You're correct. Engine was not driven around on base map.
I was just hoping i could help out someone who couldn't figure out the ISC buzzing on a new ecu.
The engine was tuned to gate pressure as I need a new fuel pump and am running out of inj duty at 9psi (fuel pressure sensor so ecu compensates)
This was the tuners first modular ecu and he was still learning how to tune predicted map etc.

Hey mate, I'm running the series 8 basemap on my car at the moment. I didn't notice any issue with the ISC but I'll keep an eye out for that. My car is running quite well so far. The only thing I'm not sure about is the OMP setup, the basemap is set to "Open Loop FC (RX7)" which doesn't seem right - I've emailed Adaptronic to confirm.

I noticed on basemap that initially MOP stepper was just harshly clicking at the 100% end and not finding a way out, until I put it to open loop for a while and played around with numbers forcing the OMP to move down and then going back to closed loop.
