Hey Iowa

Think it's time for another meeting soon.

Prolly last one of year but we should have had time to fix our cars so no excusses this time

I'll bring the FD this time.

Throw out some times/suggestions and send link to fellow Iowan rx7 owners.

I vote 30th in CR. Nothing much different for my car except I have a white hood now. Not sure if it was on there last time or not.

Hey,
My cousin (nate) is going to try to go to Eddyville this friday (sept 1st) to run his mustang. I dunno, I might see how slow the new TII is if I can get out of work early. Even though its only 1/8th mile it's still a good temp check on the ol' FD Jason...

I've been meaning to put the 1 bar spring in but been busy with casey's car.

It's mostly done except for wiring the haltech. Perhaps I can get it running by Friday too.

I would like to dyno the FD also. Maybe come down early Friday then hit the track after the dyno.

I'm down for whenever basically, so any dates work good for me.

Hey Jason, you should bring the FD to Cordova this Friday so I can see it.

Well I worked hard and got casey's engine rebuilt, turbo installed, and haltech.

Got it running tonight. Running very good and idles at 800rpm with no problem and no smoke.

The problem is that his haltech is broken and I was using mine.

See attached link >.>

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...05#post6042005

This means tomorrow I'll move his car out after I finish some minor details then roll the FD in for that 1 bar sping.

Well took the FD down to cardova

Got a 12.88 with 2.02 60ft and 110mph trap. Was able to squeze out import runner up and 50 bucks

I think Casey's car based off what my FD ran should be able to hit low 12's high 11's once we get it back up and running. Even with blow turbo it was faster than my FD.

Had a fun night. Was happy with how the car performed. Had no problems with it after about 8 or so runs Eric and I made.

So that was your guy's best time? That's awesome! Glad to hear you got runner up too and made some bones. I wish I could have stayed for Midnight Mayhem, but my buddies wanted to head home early. Hopefully next time I go down there I'll have something nice to run. Hopefully it'll be a nice turbo FC.

Great night tonight work'n on casey's car.

Solved some tigger issues on the CAS and got it running good (had some spikes on the haltech). Feels very strong but also makes me realize how civil my FD is compared to the War Lord.

Not sure if any tracks are open yet but would be nice to take his car out this year for a run.

Tomorrow once I fix the speedo cable it'll be time to boost and get a street tune (lol ftw 50miles on this rebuild ).

That was our fastest time (my last run). If i work on my launch and get another 1.8 60ft time it should lower my ET a bit.

Honestly that is about where this car sits- High 12's. I dont' really plan on try'n to improve the speed. If I get some dyno time I might squeze out a bit more hp but 1 bar is comfort zone for me.

illinois dyno is pretty reasonable with there dyno prices i think it's 85 for a hour on the dyno and you can usually make about 3-5 runs if you want the number let me know the guys there are really cool too
