What are the two small tubes going into thr Y-pipe?

Can anyone tell me what the two small tubes going into the Y-Pipe are just under the coupler? With the coupler off you see the two small holes in the y-pipe. They are on the opposite side of the larger single hose going in.

Thanks, Jason

I believe the ones you're referring to go to the pressure chamber and the LIM. Search for vacuum hose diagram.

The line I am talking about are the Yellow (pointing down) and Baby Blue (pointing up) tubes near the top of the Y-Pipe shown below. The yellow one goes to the left in the diagran and the baby blue to the right and it has a check valve on it too.

Thanks, J

Just was wondering what they did and if they were a possible entry point of some oil.

Thanks for the input!

The yellow one is for the air bleeds on the fuel injectors. At idle, you have vacuum between the throttle plates and the motor, but between the throttle plates and intake is near atmospheric pressure. This is piped to the entry point of the fuel injectors to help atomize fuel better. I don't totally understand how it works, as that's some dark voodoo, but that's the principle.

The other is for the pressure tank, as stated.

Neither should be an entry point for oil. What is the actual problem you're trying to track down? If you have oil in the y-pipe there, it could be from the primary turbo's inlet, which is connected to the PCV system, or a turbo isn't so healthy and is barfing oil.

Thank for all the info!!

I think the above is the issue seeing there is very little oil at all.. I'll keep an eye on things.

Thanks again!
