ok so i searched and cant find my answer
whats the deal with the Y-pipe? my stock one cracked and im in need of a new one....should i spend the 250 on the one off the rx7store.net ( 99-spec )or should i jsut buy a used one off ebay? will it make a differance in performance? i have stock twins, upgraded intercooler kit, bov, exhaust ect. ect. what do you think?

Well the deal with the efini y-pipe is that is that the crossover pipe bolts to the y-pipe via 2 bolts. Compared to the stock one that is attached via coupler and has been known to separate under boost.
Some also say that the efini flows better then stock but i think that is a bunch of shenanigans. The efini ypipe also is made of aluminum opposed to plastic so if you plan on polishing it, it will look good.

If you want to spend the money for an efini y-pipe, you can. But replacing it with a used stock one would be fine. You wouldn't see any noticeable gains anyway with a new efini y-pipe. You can probably find a used stock y-pipe cheap in the forum.

thanks for the advice guys i really appriciate it, one more question and this is very off topic but what does IMO mean? i see alot of people on here using that word and i have no idea what people mean by it.....does it stand of sumone or is it a nice way of saying dumbass hahaha thanks again

Or get a single turbo and get rid of the y-pipe lol. Yeah, my advice would be to get the 99 spec crossover y-pipe because it looks better and will not crack in the future.
