IMO everyone should buy the 99 spec one there is a reason why mazda changed it. The original plastic one is prone to cracking

Well the deal with the efini y-pipe is that is that the crossover pipe bolts to the y-pipe via 2 bolts. Compared to the stock one that is attached via coupler and has been known to separate under boost.

Some also say that the efini flows better then stock but i think that is a bunch of shenanigans. The efini ypipe also is made of aluminum opposed to plastic so if you plan on polishing it, it will look good.

If you want to spend the money for an efini y-pipe, you can. But replacing it with a used stock one would be fine. You wouldn't see any noticeable gains anyway with a new efini y-pipe. You can probably find a used stock y-pipe cheap in the forum.

you will find cheaper used items on the forum, rather than rx7 stores and ebay. look around on the rx7 parts for sale

IMO means "In My Opinion"

When in doubt, run acronyms through urbandictionary.com

And absolutely get the 99spec y-pipe. It flows slightly better, .5 PSI or something like that increase.

Or get a single turbo and get rid of the y-pipe lol. Yeah, my advice would be to get the 99 spec crossover y-pipe because it looks better and will not crack in the future.

I have a good 93 y-pipe you can have to hold you over until you get an Efini Y-pipe. Free if you come get it. I'm about an hour and a half west of Philly.
