Xr1 alone?

What would an FD sound like with just an XR1 muffler in the MP, then just pipes after that? As in tone and volume?

Deeper and quieter..at least at idle and cruise. The XR-1 was the same as a hi-flo cat.....but when you go WOT they are loud!

Steve Kahn I think has this setup. You can probably find some video of his car in action if you look hard enough.

IS that still the case if the XR1 is in place fo the cat, and there is no other muffler?

I would imagine it would sound about the same as haveing a cat-back with a regular MP or am I worng in this assumption?

Here is what a singled FD with only an XR1 sounds like.

XR1ed FD

If you don't get the entire video, please be patient. I'm uploading it right now, and cable upload speeds suck big nasty pistons

Thanks flybye. That actually sounds alot better then I thought it would. Is there anything that can be done to give it a deeper tone?

The only other thing that I could think of would be to install either XR1 - Have an XR1 as a MP and one in the back, or install one of their other mufflers. I have an old Borla with dual outlets on it, and that sounds pretty deep. I have to try to get some recordings of it when I get a chance.

Steve Kan runs the XR-1 only ... has a distinct midrange tone ... not really that much bass to it. Also loud .....

Up until recently, I use to spend a lot of time here. I've also been with the forum since it first started over 3 years ago.
