would I need a boost controler?

Hey guys, I have a 93 Rx7 and these are my current engine mods intake,dp,cb,boost hose upgrade. Now I am going to get a mid-pipe and a ecu "probly pettit's". Now for my question--will I need a boost controler, to control the spikes? my current boost pattern is -------- 11-13-11.

the boost controller won't control the spikes. To control the spikes you have to put a bleed valve in the pre-control line.

Just clap together a bleeder valve out of some hardware store pipe fittings. If I rember right the precontrol line is the one right next to the line you stick your boost controller in. But I'm not sure.

Remember, a boost controller will only control levels higher than what the wastegate does on its own.

boost spikes are fun, but not so great for the engine,

its easy to rig up a valve, takes maybe $10 worth of parts from a hardware store. Then to get to the hose just remove the intake.

I think the level of the spike varys from car to car, but if you get 13PSI spikes now, you will for sure be getting big spikes after you put in the MP. 13 PSI is already kinda pushing it.

Also, if you dont' know what boost creep is do a search for that. People that run MP sometimes run into this problem

it looks neat, but for the price you can pick up a used profec B, or other eltronic BC. THe dawes device boost controller will pretty much do the same thing w/o the dual stage capability for $30

I'm sure the "Dawes" boost controller is decent but...
It looks like a Hardware Valve and the "Turbo Xs" actually looks like a performance part.

But has anybody tried them? I suspect it is too exspensive...?

Anyone know how would the High performance
Turbo Xs controller be with our Factory squentials
boosting to around 14 psi.
