WOT Sticking....
In the last couple of weeks the throttle has began to stick at full throttle (kinda rushy)
I removed the elbow and inspected the assembly. Actuated bell crank with both cables disconnected and also by pressing on the plate. It has a slight sticky spot at about 50% and will hold full open by itself. It actually "notches" to a full open stick. Visual inspection reveals nothing in the throttle bore to interfere with the plate. It is isolated somewhere in the primary plate assembly as the secondaries move freely. The springs and everything attached to the springs look and feel nominal. at full open the throttle shaft will freely move slightly side to side which is normal and reveals the throttle shaft bearings are not the problem.
Is there something on the TPS side that can cause sticking?
Has anyone else has this problem?
BTW searched the forum without luck
Thanks
Tom

Have you disconnected the throttle cable to determine if the sticking was that or the TB?
There is a hose that comes off the back of the TB very close to the cold start assist/hot wax rod unit linkage, if it was tie wraped, it might be snagging the linkage, I have seen this happen once.

It was the tie-wrap for the hose to the MAP sensor. linkage was tagging the tie-wrap clasp.... Can't see that unless the TB is removed.
It's the little things.
Thanks!
WTF mine is sticking WOT and there is nothing binding, no tie wraps nothing to hold it open. u pulled TB off there is nothing obvious to make it stick. WOT sticking in 3rd gear is scary.100mph and not being able to back off is a problem, any help would be greatly appreciated
Yes there is something on the tps side that can cause sticking. Mine was sticking the same way is how i know. I know which parts were sticking just not sure what they did originally, but i think its part of the fast idle system.
