is it worth it taking out AC?
reason im asking this is , im starting a new built on my FD
and i am thinking about should i or should i not yank the AC system out .
less thing to go wrong right ? and less engine bay temp.
yes i do have a DD .
so what is every ones setup ?
single with no AC ?
twins with no AC ?

Personally I do not have the AC in my car. It is also not a DD.
If you are thinking about it drive around with no AC and the windows down and see if this is something you can deal with during the times you drive the FD. It is really just all personal choice. Weight savings is negligible, heat production is really negligible, but it does clean up the engine bay a bit as well as get some things out of the way (condenser and lines).

^ like stated about. Go drive around with the AC off and see if you can tolate it. Me personally I wouldn't do it. When i take my wife out, I like to have AC while in the nice car.

If it were me, I'd leave it in place. You can get 95% of the benefit of not having the system there simply by turning it off. When off, it restricts airflow through the radiator, but likely not enough to make more than a degree or two difference.

NO. My FD would be useless as a DD without AC. I drive mine everywhere, all the time.
Over the years, I've found that as a modified car gets less comfortable and/or practical, I drive it a lot less. Same outcome for my performance oriented friends. I would never again delete A/C, power steering or have an excessively loud and obnoxious exhaust. Not for a car that sees any appreciable street time--I want to be able to drive the car and enjoy it--passengers included.

Honestly, if there is no huge reason to pull out your A/C, I would keep it in. I tried keeping my A/C in for as long as possible but I just recently pulled it out because it physically gets in the way of some mods that I'm in the process of. I have BNR Stage 3 twins and it is not my DD.
What always surprises me is I often see pictures of fairly modified FD's in Japan and they almost always still have A/C. Like the below RE Amemiya example. My point is that you can still do a lot and retain your A/C.
