Check map sensor and check for vacuum leaks. A few more details about your setup would help also. ECU, Injector size, tuned or running basemap, stock ems etc...

Sounds like one of the injectors might not be firing. Running rough sometimes is just from one rotor doing the work. Get a stethoscope to see that both are firing... After that check to make sure each connector is securely clipped on.

you must have doubleposted, I replied in the other one, so here...

did you do anything else while the injectors were out? Such as maybe changing the sparkplugs and wires?

Are they the same sized injectors as you had before?

If you think it is fuel related, here is a good thread to point you in the right direction. http://www.rotarycarclub.com/showthr...?p=557#post557

yes i replaced the fuel filter. someone already asked me if i put it in backwards and i said with the way the FD fuel filters are thats highly unlikely. no i havent changed the plugs yet that one of my next steps. the stock injectors were just cleaned and put back in. someone did bring up a good point i had not thought of, if i put the wrong vacum line on the fuel pressure regulator that could cause some issues. is that a possibility???

An injector is stuck, I would bet anything. Especially if you didn't put them in right when you got them. The cleaning fluid causes them to stick if it dries. Pull them out and wire a 9volt battery to them, tapping them on and off and see if you hear a click. If you don't, the injector is stuck.

Also double check that you have the correct connector attached to them. I accidentally swapped the connectors on my primaries once and it caused the car to barely start, run very rough, and then flood out. Good luck

Charge each injector with a 9v battery. Next listen for the click...

Like he said above - check that the correct connectors are on the correct injectors. The primary connectors will fit on the secondary injectors and vise versa. It's happened.

ok so i have done some more tests it apears i have the injectors hooked up corectly.i also tested all the of them to see if they click and they do. all the vacum lines look right. i am getting spark and there is fuel on the plugs. if i crank it to much fuel actually seeps out from between the dp and mid pipe so i got plenty of fuel. so timming i guess???? what boggles my mind is that before i pull the injectors it was running fine it just had a drip which caused the dp to glow. anyone got any ideas????

Listen to what you just said man...If you have THAT much fuel going into your motor it's running WAY too rich. You've probably fouled 1 or both of the plugs in that housing, so there's going to be even more unburned fuel going into the exhaust. You clearly have a sticking/stuck injector on your hands. I highly doubt it's timing related if you witnessed that much fuel pouring out from between your DP and MP. It's starting then dying because it's being choked to death with too much gasoline.

All you can really do is cycle 9v to it and tap it a couple of times....To my knowledge there's not much else you can do. If I were you I'd start searching for some other injectors. Good luck man!

ok let me just throw this out there is it possible that my ecu is shot and keeping the injectors open longer than they need to be? also i have a power fc i was waiting to hook up until i got everything running right if it is in fact a bad ecu useing the power fc would fix this correct?

WI

Swaping out the ECU with the power FC would be easier than pulling the injectors. At least try it and see if the symptoms remain the same. If they are, put the old ECU back in and take a better look at the fuel system.

I know this an old thread, but I'm now having the exact same issue on my car. I upgraded my primary and secondary injectors to 1050cc. Everything else is bone stock, except I deleted the Air Pump and installed a PowerFC.
The car would start but was super bogged down and idled super rough. Eventually it just got to where it wouldn't start at all. So then I told the PowerFC to reduce primary injector firing by like 45%. Still wont start. We have spark. Have fuel. Definitely have compression. The car just cranks infinitely and wont start. Tried swapping out ECUs. Tried stock ECU. Replaced Primary Coil Pack.

Put it back to stock injectors and ecu. Hand your car to someone that knows what they're doing to do the change correctly. The scenario you described is a precursor to how good cars end up rotting away. An injector upgrade is in no way as simple as you described. Your approach also indicates you did little to no research before changing parts out.

Without a datalogit you're not going to get the result you're looking for and even then you need to know how to use fc edit. Even with the associated hardware and software you still need BASIC tuning capabilities to get it to run correctly. Stop everything you're doing and hand the car off as is or revert back to stock.
