don't have a myspace account to view the photos BUT if it rolled you'll probably end up spending a butt load of money to get it back to spec.

post a pic in here!

Yeah I got a quote from a body shop for 5 grand just to replace a quarter panel, door and blend, That right there, your best just buying a roller if there extensive engine work in your car or just buy another one. The cold sad truth.

This is his car off his myspace

Looks like the FD side slammed into a pole? There's just too much damage to repair, better to part it out and look for another FD thats running.

Is the front frame bent? Your VIS carbon fiber hood looks in good shape.

I have to agree, the cost to fix it would be way too much to justify fixing it. Looks like a parts car now.

You would be better off buying a rolling chassis and converting the engine and driveline parts over, and its your lucky day because I can sell you a roller. Seriously though, your best bet would be to convert the good parts over to a roller and part out anything that is still in decent shape on your wrecked car.

I'm most curious about what happened to the front tyre.
It looks like the roof is kinked near the windshield, that use usually something you are even allowed to fix.

If you look at all the pictures you'll see that it is pretty well toasted. The only exterior parts that look OK are the passenger side mirror and the hatch glass. Everything else will take EXTENSIVE body work to restore. It looks like the roof is torqued though and I don't think you can fix that.

I agree, it isn't worth fixing. The idea of buying a roller and rebuilding is his only option. Given his luck so far, maybe the best bet is to start parting it out and look for a different car.

Too bad. The car looked nice before hand. Looks like he bought it in January or Feb of this year. I just hope the driver and passenger are OK. Keep in mind that it only takes a moment for something really bad to happen. I'm a careful driver (comes with age) but I know that It easily could be me if I was really unlucky or careless for just a second.

Ouch! I hope you had full coverage insurance…
I think you guys are being a little too hard on him. **** happens, am pretty sure most of us here have been a victim of some sort of accident.
I would salvage what you can, and junk it, and If you wanna get back in another RX7, take djseven advise and buy a roller, utilize the parts that are salvageable, it would save you some money.

Whats scary is I bet most only carry liability, which is asking for a full-on financial disaster.

One mistake, and it's all gone.

Good point here, not sure about your State's insurance policy. But a friend here in Hawaii had his RX-8 totaled, was covered full insurance.

So he had his insurance company declared it a total loss, then bought it from them at salvage cost (about 10% I believe?). Got another RX-8 from the insurance money and sold most of the wreaked car parts at a nice profit.

Hope you did not get permanent injuries from this accident>

Just my 2 cents
