Wiring Specialties Stock FD Harness Reviews

Hey All,

I'm looking for reviews of Wiring Specialties engine/emissions harness for a stock FD (stock sequential twin turbos, ECU, and all emissions controls). Any comments on quality, completeness and compatibility of harness would be appreciated. Their harness is a couple of hundred dollars less than what I've found for the OEM harness so want to make sure it is as good.
Also, I assume replacement of the engine harness is usually done with the engine on a stand but curious if anyone has done it with the engine in the car and if anyone has advice/tips on the job?

Thanks.

I don't think there's an aftermarket company that makes a sequential engine harness. Rywire made (makes?) one, but only for single turbo. Twins weren't even an option. Consider this if you are still running twins.

I picked one up from Wiring Specialties mid summer for future use if and when I decide to swap it out. It’s a quality harness, no buyers remorse on it from me.

Thanks for the replies. In this case I think I'll stick with buying new..
I asked Wiring Specialties if the harness was for stock sequential turbos with all emissions controls and they said yes it's an OEM replacement.
Tim Benton, was the harness you purchased for a stock FD (sequential plus emissions)? Does it look like it has all the stock connections?

Yes it was the OEM replacement harness for twins and emissions. I picked up the ground add on at the same time. I like the nylon loom, cleaner look than electrical tape that gets brittle with the heat over time.

Does the wiring specialties have a smaller overall diameter compared to the OEM harness?

Good place to plug Chris from LMS-EFI. Had him build me a mostly stock harness for use with a PFC. Incredible quality and customer service, one of the better upgrades/repairs I've done to the car.

I didn't keep emissions on my harness but I did keep full sequential and it works beautifully and is 100% DR-25/Raychem.
