So I have the sensor diagram attached. Pretty much I need to match which crankshaft sensor NE or G is either cam or crank. If someone could help me out so I don’t mix them that would be great. I have also attached a picture of my sensors (Home=can and trigger=crank) Thank you guys so much and happy holidays
Ne is crank and G is cam. It’s Japanese notation of the era. Toyotas with piston engines use the same terminology.
of course rotaries don’t have camshafts, but the purpose is the same. It’s to determine not the speed of the engine, but which stroke it’s on. Early fuel injection systems were batch fired and only used an Ne signal, like a 1st gen GSL-SE. Sequential fuel injection needs to know top dead center for correct injection timing.
The top one is trigger and the bottom one is home. I had to learn the hard way because wiring specialties' support won't help. Hopefully I got to you in time so you don't need to redo it.
Hey all! Thanks so much for the information! I figured it out also yeah wiring specialities support actually told me G was trigger and vice versa which is wrong. Thank you everyone again and happy holidays! Time to hook up the rest
