wiring harness question for all?
ok i need a new harness so i called a local mazda dealer and they said there are 2 different wiring options available..1) a full wiring harness that includes brackets and ect for $890..2) just a wiring harness for $570..... both being for the engine bay harness
any idea which i would need to replace the harness in the engine bay.....they had no idea which i would need.good thing they are trained for FD's

A few questions come to mind. Why are you looking for a new harness? But I'm sure you have this one figured out already...
There are two harnesses for the engine that I know of. One plugs in to a dual clip that's right around the battery. Does the coils, some solenoids, oil pressure, oil level, alternator, etc. The other harness does the rats nets, the O2 sensor and goes through the firewall and plugs into the ECUs. I don't think they it will be harder to change then doing all the vacuum lines, but just go slow...

anyway i believe that i need the harness that goes to the ECU..so im guessing that would be the cheaper harness without all the brackets and ect...am i correct?

well i can get it for pretty much the same price wasnt his 550? at my local dealer they want 570
