wiper linkage assembly removal??

I figured out how to take out the assembly, wish we could edit the title

My main problem, the wiper link that directly connects to the wiper motor, has the threading smoothed out, meaning the wipers dont work, cause when the motor spins with its grooves, theres nothing for it to catch or hold on to on the link side to make the wipers move.

Any ideas on fabricating or making something to stick in the linkage hole to make it work so that it catches the threads of the actual wiper motor?

Get a good used one. That's not a common problem and used ones should be a dime a dozen. It's not worth trying to rig something up to make it work.

Thanks dale!

Ray crow has one for 120 used shipped

I honestly don't want to spend that much when this just seems like a simple puzzle problem, and I need to try figure out how to make something work.

What if I molded the wiper motor threads onto a small piece of metal, and crimped/ glued that to the inside of the wiper link?

Or is 120 my best option.

Because it rains daily and I don't have time to wait a week, 2 weeks, a month, for a linkage to show up

Also I like to make things and figure things out

It says in the first post, it's the linkage, not the motor

It's actually very easy

I'm gonna start at the very beginning for anyone that doesn't know.

With the wiper motor already off

You take the plugs off the at the base of the wiper blades (circular rubber pieces )

Unscrew the nuts

Push down on the wiper blade elbow and at the same time pull up on the bottom base of the blade where you just unscrewed the nuts and it'll come off.

Now the stupid part, there's little black round plastic pieces on the base of the window that are on the vent looking trim.

I only got 2 off without breaking the rest but you can buy them at auto zone so don't even bother trying to do it perfectly

Take a flat head screw driver and go to town

Take off the screws, then the trim comes up

Don't worry about the rectangular black pieces with arrows, they can stay

Then there's a vent on the driver side, just rip it off the 2 stupid black pieces cause its not worth the time and again, AutoZone.

Then there's nuts around the base of where you took off the wiper blads, 2 on pass side, 3 around the drivers.

From there just push the assembly down, wiggle it, and pull it out through the driver side hole.

Sorry for the lengthy description, I was getting so mad cause of the black circular pieces on the big trim

And the fact that it was cold didn't help

i just bought some "muffler fix putty"

It takes the form of whatever you put it on then hardens

Im seeing if I can put that inside the link end thats smoothed out, put it on the wiper motor, take the grooves of the motor, and harden to stay on

the only issue is getting the motor on the right way the first time

never used the putty

just took a crush washer and tightened the wiper to the linkage very tight, they work fine now, i dont see the wipers putting out more force then how tight the metal is, thanks for the input guys!
