winter storage

okay, i have searched, but as we all know, vbulletin's search sucks more dick than SNTP. anyways, im moving to breckenridge for the ski season this winter and will be leaving the car in storage here in Missouri.
other than the obvious stuff, should i worry about the gas if i premix?

i plan on:

making sure antifreeze is okay (doh)
a good wash beforehand, and hopefully i can find something to cover her with, even though she'll be in a garage
disconnecting the battery
maybe a touch of oil into the chambers and cranking over a few times to lube everything?
fuel stabilizer

with the cold weather, and long time of no activity, will the oil in the fuel come out of suspension and pool on the bottom of my gas tank? should i drive it all the way down and then refill and baby it back to the garage?

any other tips appreciated cause once im gone, she's gonna sit, nobody around here knows a damn thing about rotaries.

If I were going to store a care for more than a couple of months, I would probably drain the fuel out completely, and put the battery on a charger. I would also put the car on jackstands to avoid flat spotting the tires. There are probably other rotary specific things that you should be doing as well, but I have never stored a rotary for longer than a few weeks, so I can't really comment on that.

I have to agree that the search function does suck a bit at times.......

I store my car for 3-4 months (depending on the weather). I did an oil change just before I stored it, filled the gas tank up and used fuel stabilizer, disconnected the battery, and put it up on jack stands.

I would recommend filling up the gas tank so you don't get any condensation from the mild vs. cold days in the winter/spring.

I pulled it out of storage and it started right up without any problems.

If you think this forums search feature sucks, you should try some other forums.

I actually like VBulletin's search function. it's very robust, you can make a very wide search or a very narrow specific one. It's great.
