windshield wiper fluid squiters

man they shoot strait off the right side of the car, im tryin to get my winshield wet, not my car. the left one completely doesnt work.

anyone else have similar issues? no matter how much i clean them out it never gets any better. im thinkin about going to a junkyard and getting some squiters off a caddy CTS... those ones are NICE.

Get a pin or paper clip, stick it in the nozzle, and you can probably re-aim it.

Yeah, they just need to be aimed. If you have one that isn't firing, it's probably plugged with wax residue. Clean them out, aim them, you're good to go.

BTW, the tiny nozzle that the cleaner squirts through pivots - that's how you aim it. Just stick a needle in it and you can pivot it around.

sweet thanks. i cleaned them out with a toothpick before and it didnt really do anything for the flow, they still suck. how can i get the wax residue out?

anyone ever taken ones off of another car? im telling you, the caddy ones on their CTS's are so nice.

if you got CRUD in them..you can try those little dental floss brushes(you know the one's that look like a wee little pipe cleaner) for cleaning in between your teeth..they should be small enough and won't cause damage..(oral-b makes them)..wacked out idea..

Take them off your hood and soak them in CLR. Make sure and check your hoses to, see if there are any breaks, holes, and such.

i cant get to my car right now so i cant check it out, but are the hoses under the black liner on the underside of the hood? and wheres the pump?

The hoses are exposed. The best way to remove the squirters is to use a Craftsman 10mm 12 point deep-well socket. Just remove the hoses and insert the socket to compress the clips and pull the nozzle out.
