windshield wiper blade replacement?
windshield wiper blade replacement?
I remember reading awhile back that there is a certain type of wiper blade that is a drop in perfect fit for our car. I can't find it by searching now. Maybe it was before the crash. Anyway, who knows what blades i need to get for replacements? Thanks.

"Trico Narrow Blade Refill 45-200 is an exact replacement for the 3rd gen stock wiper blades. Simply pull out the old rubber insert and slide in the Tricos. You get to keep the trick stock aerofoil blade holder and only replace the rubber blade. It was the easiest blade replacement I've ever done. The Trico applications book says the 2nd gen uses the same insert. I got mine at Pep Boys but I think Walmart and K Mart carry them too."

It tells you in the owners manual, if you have one. I don't go cheap on wiper blades, I go to the dealer! One thing I don't want to risk is my visibility and thats already pretty bad with the stock headlights.

Trico is just fine if you replace it every 2 yr or so. I haven't tried the Bosch ones - they don't sell refills for those.
RainX is awesome. I've got it on all my cars. I have the towlett type. Got a pack of 10 for $2 or something at Walmart a few years back.

Who needs wipers
Having the FD as the Fair weather car I never need my wipers so I just removed them. j/k
Seriously though I don't use my blades but a trico changed 1 a year is not too much $ to spend if you count on your rain vision. I also agree with the rain-x, easy to apply and if your really lazy they make a liquid that you just pour into your wiper fluid bottle. These type of glass products are susposed to add life to your blades as a bonus.

Do you need to install the metal rib for the bosch and the rain x replacal blades???
I bought these tri blade universal ones, and boy were they horrible. The metal rib kept falling out, left these annoying streaks on my winsheild etc., so I had to go get OEM ones, they are a bit pricey though

Bosch here too! Had absolutely no fitment probs from what I can remember, but I replaced them more than a year ago, so I don't remember specifics. I try to use my wipers as little as possible too (can't stand the marks they leave after using them in the rain
).
