Window Tint: Pics of FD's with a particular %
mine is 5%.......really sucks for driving at night (i have to put my windows down a bit to see my side mirrors when backing up), but during the day its great!
if i was retinting my windows, i would probably go with something around 15% next time.

. I may have even commented before about it but damn your car is beautiful.
20% on the side windows....untinted on the rear glass but am going to as soon as I get a new rear glass (fawked up my defroster grid 10 years ago taking off the old, purple crappy tint put on by previous owner). I'll probably go with around 30% on the rear, as the 20% on the sides is too much, frankly.
Thanks!
That means a lot coming from a guy with a car as nice as yours.
The drivers and passenger's windows are 35%, the rear is 20% and the windshield (I know, I know) is 75%. The numbers represent how much light the tint lets through.
He talked me into doing the windshield because it's not very tinted at all, but the tint cuts 100% UVA and UVB so it'll hopefully help save the dashboard. Plus, I think it looks kinda stealthy.
Pics to come. Damn this monsoon.

I think on my white FD I'm gonna go with 15% all around.
I have 15% on my front windows and 8% on my rear windows and rear windshield on my '11 Sonata 2.0T and at night my rear windshield is completely useless for parking. I have to roll my windows down. Rear view camera helps too, though. ^.^;;

I just got mine tinted last weekend with 35% (legal limit) all the way around. I highly recommend LLumar film. I have had it on all my vehicles with zero issues and normally only the best installers carry it. Oh, and don't let anyone touch your windows if they can't do the back window in one piece.
If you live in the Charlotte NC area I would check out Solstice Window Tinting. Not only did they do an excellent job but they will come to your house and tint your windows if you have a garage. They even pushed my car in and out of the garage for me

In Texas, you can't go any darker than 35% on the side windows, however you can go as dark as you want on the rear hatch.
Not a good picture, but it's all I got (at least to show the rear hatch)
3M (lifetime warranty) 35% side windows, 20% rear hatch.

its not the whole windshield, just the strip at the top. the rest of the car and windows are so dark that at some angles it looks like the windshield is tinted also.
tinting the entire front windshield is not unsafe if done properly, my BMW 740il had a factory tinted windshield that really cut down on glare and reflections, i liked that a lot. it was pretty light though, id estimate maybe 90% light pass through.
