Question Will this be too much flow. . . .

Hey guys, I am thinking of adding an FMIC and exhaust to my FD.
Right now I have; DP, Apexi Intake, and Profec B @ 10psi.

What I want to know is if I add the FMIC and exhaust and keep the boost at 10 PSI or lower will I be ok with out a PFC or other fuel upgrade?

Any input welcome

Thanks Justus

Mods(again): DP, Intake, Profec B, boost gauge, water temp guage, strut bar, and turbo timer.

The strut bar puts you over the limit.
Should be fine if you stick with 10psi.

Get rid of the POS worthless turbo timer

An upgraded IC (FMIC in your case) will surely decrease boost pressure drop (the stock IC apparently has quite a bit of pressure drop), and thus decreased back pressure, resulting in higher flow. Add an exhaust system, and the air flow goes up even more. If you limit your boost to 10 psi, then you will not take full advantage of your mods. Apparently the Profec B boost controller is pretty good at maintaining target boost. You should be able to use the stock ECU safely, it runs rich...(AFRs in the 10s, according to Wade Lanham's wide band measurements). Eventually you will need a Power FC, and fuel mods, so you might as well go into debt or pony up the extra dough to do your mods RIGHT

You will be fine at 10 psi and you will gain quite a bit more horsepower as well. I was in the 255-260 rwhp range at 10 psi with intake, SMIC, downpipe, and catback on stock ecu.

I would go with PFC first and then go for an FMIC

Hey guys thanks for the responses, I understand that I won't be completely utilizing my mods but I can get these mods both done for half the price of a PFC(thanks to a friend) so I am planning on jumping on the opportunity while its available to me.

So far the replies are saying that I should be ok so thats good news!!

Keep them coming!
