will a Profec B-spec2 work on my car?
Ok i have a 94 rx7 silver r2. I have a intake and a downpipe and catback. I have stock twins I just got a profec 2 and took it to my local store and they said that the boost controler would not work on my car. Are they right or just dont know what they are doing? Never had work done there before. I do all of it my self normaly but i didnt want to take the time this go around. I also got the greddy boost controler. Got it all of here and it all is in perfect condition.

boost controllers with "logic" have a hard time working with sequential systems because they do what they can to keep boost a what you set for, and then they get hit with transition and freek out.
that said, the profec B does not use that method, it just operates based on duty cycle i believe. and i believe the b spec 2 uses this same method. some people have had electrical issues with the profec b-2 in FD's fwik barring no major malfunction, it should work fine.

I've installed 2 on customer cars and they work great. One car is full stock except for the greddy 3 piece kit w/elbow. And the other pretty heavily modded.
They can be a little fussy sometimes to get where you want it. But once there, WRITE the settings down so if you disconnect the battery you do not have to go thru the whole process over again.
I recomend it and recomend not going to that shop anymore, or at least let them know that it does work.

I may sound like a dumb *** lol but this is his what he said " It would not work b/c it has only one valve unit, it would work on a single turbo with one soleniod but with it having twin turbo and twin soleniod then it would not work." " It would need 2 valve units. I got lost in his conversation and told him just not to worry about it and then he tried to give me 100$ for it. I was like na ill just come back later if i decide to sell it.

you'd think they could but that is why most of us do our own work on these cars. It is relativly easy to do yourself. And a fun way to get to know your car a little better. Get a factory service manual or download it at a site i will attach in a minute. It will help you out a lot in the future. And you can always search on here or PM me and I along with the forums infinite knowledge will help you.

technically his reason has some merrit, but the WG controll does alot, expecially after transition obviously. if you really need to tweek the primary you can just hook up a manual controller. precontroll won't need to be ajusted as much once you have it dialed in so a manual controller there wont take away much of the in-cockpit ajustability.
