the only thing I can think of is, perhaps, someone may be selling the power FC with a base map that is set for US fuel rating. Just a guess though.

A lot of US tuners wont touch/work with a Japanese-sold unit. Apex'i USA notes all the serial numbers of the units they sell here and only supports products purchased through them for use in the United States

It's the same exact computer, and will work the same, but you may not be able to get any support from the US dealer/tuning network.

plus the maps will be tuned around 94 octane at the least if it is tuned at all
