"Also the J-spec is the same as the ones everyone is getting in the states. Garanteed."

same difference, except for the versions.

$400 for a PFC becareful. I have seen some OUSTANDING deal on JUST the PFC without commander here for about $500, but not below that for the most if they are still working or are for the 93-95 (which is VERY important)

If they are in working order for 93-95 a-specs & come with a commander, I'll take an order for a dozen.

yeah but they are probably abundant in japan and not worth as much there because there is so many of them. Try yahoo japanese auctions too, just get a translator and a money convertor and you can find all kinds of things for cheap. Hell, I found a nice sparco seat for only like $250. And yes it was a real sparco tourino seat in great condition too. Only reason I didnt get it was because I don't know how to bid at that auction and I don't know how to pay or if they use paypal. Sometimes hard to translate too, doesn't make sense half the time.

oh boy, yahoo auctions.

Your eyes can be tricky....

3% plus
5% plus
Doesnt include shipping which is the most expensive to the US
Doesnt include bank transfer fees either.

On the side we have helped a ton of people get stuff from the auctions here, but still $400 sounds awful low.

EDIT*
Sorry about the quick thread steal.

LMFAO. For one, you need a japanese bank account. Two, don't trust the translators. Three, 99% will NOT ship international.

Common misconception Americans make is that they can buy anything off the internet.

There is no such thing as an "A-spec" Power FC. They are all j-spec. That's why American FD's have to cut wires on their wiring harness. It makes the jspec power FC's work with apec FD's.

ALL power FC's are grouped by years. '92 to '95 , '96 to '98, and '99+

I got my power FC/commander(latest version at the time) for $630~. You can find similar deals at shops that sell used parts or off the auctions.

if you are stopping in japan soon -

a new power fc will cost you US$740-ish dollars - less if you can find a sale. You need to find some of the cheaper parts specialist stores (for example, the autobacs price will reflect the apex rrp - which is over a $100 more)

commanders are around the US$260 mark

From what we know here in Oz. The Power-FC comes in three versions to suit the three versions of FD RX-7.

series-6 (92-95)
series-7 (96-98)
series-8 (99-02)

Mazda changed the ECU & pin outs for each version hence why there must be the three choices from Apex-i

Also if you are getting them for USD $400, thats a bargain. They are near AUS $2000 here down under

"They are near AUS $2000 here down under"

If you're paying that much you are getting them from the wrong place - $1395 (I was surprised too)

"so basically just make sure i get series -6...." - you want one for a 92-95. If you say series 6 (australian terminology) to an importer you might end up with a 98-02 (type 5/6) - be careful with that

Don't tell your friend to get a series 6 Power FC. He needs to say "Zenkei FD"
