Will 15" rims fit to roll on?

I'm buying an FD but he's keeping his Works. Plan was for him to come to my house and remove them and I was going to put the car on stands till I bought wheels.
I have a set of 15x7 et38 (something like that) that are on my FC in the garage. Could I use those to put on the car and roll it on the trailer or will the calipers get in the way?

It's very doubtful.

From what i remember they can possibly fit in the rear but you need to grind the caliper down as well as running spacers.

In the front you need huge spacers and even then i don't think they clear the calipers without large amounts of grinding.

All in all, not worth it unless you are running drag wheels.

I tried to put some FC BBS mesh wheels on mine as a joke once but they wont go over the calipers, as mentioned above.

wont work.

stock size is 16x8 +50, the diameter alone is not going to fit over the caliper.

That's not actually true. You can fit 15" on the FD with stock brakes if the backspacing is correct:

More than just a backspacing issue but also specific wheel ID's, etc. Yes it can be done if ... you use wheel X or are willing to experiment with a number of fits up attempts.

it will still roll with the calipers removed but you won't even have an emergency brake without the rear calipers on.

stock FD wheels are cheap enough nowadays your best bet is to pick up a set of them, at least you'll be sure that they fit
