They're not always located at the very end of the hose. Mine were about 2/3rds into the hose. Check carefully.

It resembles a little cylinder/ball with a pin sized hole throught it. It's made out of steel.

ok yeah... i definitly dont have those in any of the hoses lol. thanks alot for the info. im going to stop by autozone in a few mins to go pick some up. do these sizes sound right to you:

stock wastegate = .062
stock turbo pre-control = .058

so... will not having any boostp ills lower my boost?

The pills control the pressure going into the hose that attaches to the specific Actuators (WG and PC). No pressure or too much pressure will cause the Actuator/Rod to engage (open) the WG/PC Turbo gates abnormally. Thus creating not enough,.. or in certain applications, too much boost.

I was reading that some nipples already have the pills built in, I took a picture of the nipples, does it look like they already have the pills?

Here's some pretty good info about Boost Pills and how they effect boost. It was written by our very own MaxCooper.

Autozone only sells the set of the carb jets, its 40 bucks, they told me to check NAPA, they might sell the individual ones.

Find an aluminium or plastic rod big enough to fit snuggly in the hose, but too big fit into the nipple - 3/16 to 1/4" should do it. Drill a 1/16" hole into one end. Cut two peices 1/4 to 5/16" long. Clean the hole with the 1/16" bit. Volia - two 0.0625" pills. Smack the end of one to close it up to .058", which is the thickness of one piece of paper.

thats why too much, id rather just buy it or order it. You do need another vacuum hose to plug from the "T" to the map sensor right? then the other vacuum hose thats coming fomr the nipple behind the manifold to the other part of the "T" then the middle part of the "T" goes to the boost gauge. Correct?

Thanks, Manny!

Are you talking about hooking up a boost gauge? If so, you're just adding more necessary fittings to the car. There is a nipple on the UIM that you can hook a boost gauge up to.

Since you don't have any pills going to your wastegate actuator nor your turbo pre-control, I suggest you ask someone to sell you a set on the forum. I have the set for the wastegate I can sell you, if you wish.
